Yet, instead of reprimanding her for the insolence, I let it pass. I didn’t know why. Maybe it was the fleeting novelty of something else occupying my mind, though it wouldn't last long. My hands tightened on her hips, keeping her exactly where I wanted. "Because you don't need to," I said flatly. I drove into her with precision, every thrust deliberate and unrelenting.
