Chapter 7: "The Escape

Maddy's mind was reeling as she struggled to come to terms with her new reality. She was no longer human, but a being with superior strength and agility.

As she looked around the laboratory, Maddy knew she had to escape. She couldn't let the doctor and his team continue to experiment on her.

With a surge of adrenaline, Maddy broke free from the restraints that held her to the table. She swung her legs over the side and dropped to the floor, her new body responding with ease.

The doctor and his team were caught off guard, and they stumbled backward in surprise. Maddy took advantage of the distraction to make a run for the door.

She burst through the laboratory and into the corridor beyond, her heart pounding with excitement. She could hear the doctor and his team shouting behind her, but she didn't look back.

Maddy ran as fast as she could, her new body responding with incredible speed and agility. She dodged and weaved through the corridors, using her enhanced senses to avoid obstacles.

Finally, she saw a glimmer of light ahead and burst through the door into the bright sunlight. Maddy blinked, her eyes adjusting slowly to the light.

As she looked around, Maddy saw that she was in a deserted alleyway. The laboratory was nowhere in sight, and she was alone.

For a moment, Maddy simply breathed, feeling the cool air fill her lungs. She was free.

But as she looked down at her hands, Maddy knew that she was not the same person she had been before. She was something new, something different.

And she was not sure if she would ever be able to go back.
