Daniel and his wife was eating when they heard a loud thud outside.. Daniel dropped his spoon and rushed to the door and to his surprised it was Jake…

“Blood of Jesus! he screamed..

" Jake! wake up …. he shouted as he saw him lying tired on the ground with blood stain all over his body

His wife came out too… “Oh my God… what happened?” she cried…

“Get my car key" Jake ordered his wife… and together they lifted Jake and rush him to a nearby hospital

At the hospital, the doctor examine him… “You're indeed lucky… the doctor said in calm voice.. “No damage to your brain or skull..they cleaned his wound, bandaged his head and also gave him some medication which he will take

Jake was discharge from the hospital the next day with a white bandage on his Head… He later went to see Daniel

Back At Daniel house, Jake sat quietly and was sobbing

“I was preparing for work when she offer me coffee to drink and I drank and slept off.. that's all i could remember until i woke up and saw divorce paper on the floor that she had already signed

Sophia left me… without even informing me… she took my documents with her too

“What! why would she do such a thing… is she mad? Daniel shouted

“Are you sure she doesn't know about your affair with Lena.. Daniel asked

“No! i told her she's my ex… she hasn't seen us together or in bed for years now…

Daniel leaned forward. “You must find her, Hire private investigators.. I'm sure they will find her wherever she is… it's just a matter of time

Jake nodded his head slowly in agreement.. “Thanks bro, I'll do that". he stood up shook Daniel hand and said “Thank you"

" You need to act fast… Daniel said

Then he left and drove away

When Jake reached home, he stood in the middle of his room for a long time.. he was holding the divorce paper completely surprised and shocked on why Sophia disappeared and left just a divorce paper

He grabbed his smartphone and immediately dialed Sophia's number, he was pressing the phone against his ear eagerly expecting her to answer the call

“Pick up… answer your calls this woman “ Jake muttered as his foot was tapping the floor…

The call rang many times without any answer, Sophia didn't want to pick his calls and suddenly her number stopped going through as if she put her phone on airplane mode

Despite his affair with Lena, that night he had with Sophia completely changed the way he views her.. He really wants her back. He called her numbers again but it was not going through..

Out of frustration, he threw his phone onto the bed, but it bounced and fell on the floor and the screen cracked. Jake could not just accept that Sophia disappeared, took his important documents and dropped a divorce paper for him as if he was an animal

“I have to involve private investigators as Daniel said… he said and took his phone from the floor and made a quick call to his secretary, his voice was commanding as he gave her instructions.

“I need you to get me the best private investigators in the city… I repeat “the best private investigators" I want them to find my wife immediately, I'll pay whatever they ask

His secretary aggred immediately and hearing how important and urgent this matter is, she linked him with a private investigation team… Jake and the investigators discussed and within few hours they started tracking her down.

The next few days was full of tension as the investigators worked tirelessly and Jake also continued to call her number but it was not going through. Every fifteen minutes he would check his phone, hoping that he would get any message from her but unfortunately nothing came not even a single message

The investigators really work very hard both day and night, tracking her last known movements, checking the CCTV CAMERAS, Asking people questions but Sophia prepared for this and covered her tracks well leaving no clear direction for anyone to find her location. Each report the investigators brought back to him was thesame, no Trace of her movements, they could not find her current location

Jake's frustration increased very well with each bad report from the investigators

Those few days turned into weeks… six long weeks have already passed since Sophia disappeared without a call, message or Trace and during these six long weeks, Jake found himself changing in ways he never expect.. he lost his happiness, he lost Sophia which he's now falling for, he also lost his documents

Every morning when he woke from sleep, the first thing he would do is to check his phone, hoping that Sophia would call him or send a message… he was feeling a very strong emptiness in him… Even at work at his office, he couldn't even focus just the way he normally does

During meetings, he would sit, but he is always lost in thoughts because he's always thinking about Sophia wondering where she went to and why she signed divorce paper and took his documents away with her

Sometimes while signing some important company documents or giving important instructions, he would stop, pick up his phone and start checking whether there's any message from Sophia

One morning, Lena walked into Jake's office wearing a bright smile and a sexy dress

“Good morning Jake! she greeted as she leaned down and kissed him softly but Jake didn't respond or show any affection

“What's wrong Jake? you hardly call me you're behaving strange lately.. Lena asked him.

" It's Sophia. She disappeared and left a divorce paper she had already signed for me

“, isn't that what you wanted. You promised to divorce her and marry me, so why worry about her? she asked

“She took my important documents too” he replied…

“Let her go… I'm here now for you… As for your documents we'd sort that out later… she said as she tried to seduce him, kissing him inside his office
