“Please I'm not just in the mood for this, I have so many unsolved problems right now" Jake pushed her lightly as she tried to seduce him.

Lena was not happy with what he just did.

“This is very crazy Jake! you have me, i love you and you should love me… we planned this love together .. so why are you acting like you love Sophia? she said with a frustrated voice

But Jake did not respond to her and his silence made Lena even more upset and disappointed. After few seconds of silence, Lena stepped back, her face shows she's annoyed,

“Jake, i just don't understand you any more, I'm out of here! she muttered before leaving his office..

That night Jake started behaving violently when he got home. He grabbed the books on his shelf and threw them on the floor, he pushed his couch, broke a lamp and hit the wall very hard with his fist

“Why! why! Sophia why did you leave me? he shouted.

Silence..

There was no answer, it was only the sound of his voice that filled the air…

Jake is now broken, restless and all alone with Sophia's absence creating a big vaccum in his heart.

Jake sat in his sitting room alone and was staring at his phone hoping to get a call or text from Sophia…

“No call or text from Sophia…. I'm finished.. he muttered as he feels a strange emptiness inside him that he can't explain

The sitting room just felt boring to him and even sound of the clock felt disturbing to him

Just then, his phone rang. The screen showed that his mom Dorothy was calling.

“Why's this woman calling me now? I don't need her disturbance… he muttered before answering the call.

His mother Dorothy spoke in a weak and slow voice. “My son Jake, i have not been feeling too well lately.. I think i have to see a doctor… i need to get to the hospital, Please can you take me to the hospital? she asked

“Mom listen please…I'm so busy right now.. your hospital visit can wait

“What about tommorow? she asked

“Mom.. I wont be chanced this week.. I will send someone who will assist you please.. Bye! . Jake said to her and ended the call abruptly

After he ended the call, he placed his phone on the couch where he seated and he started asking himself some real questions..

“Why am i so drawn to her after the night we made love? Why am i not just interested in recovering my important documents but also interested in Sophia

Let me try calling her number again… Jake picked his phone and dialed her number. It rang for some time but she didn't answer.. He tried again and the number was switched off..

Meanwhile, on Sophia's own end, she was inside a small bar with the dim blue lights shining on her tired face. Sophia held a glass of alcohol tightly. she came to the bar to calm her self down with some alcohol

“Five whole years of lies… five years of betrayal. I had to quit my career as nurse… what have I not done for you Jake?” she whispered… Then tears began to freely flow from her eyes as memories of Jake's betrayal was burning deep inside her. The scene of Jake and Lena making love together on their matrimonial bed kept playing in her head like a movie.

As she was whispering to herself, the bartender spotted her. The bartender was very observant and noticed that something was wrong with Sophia

The bartender approach Sophia “Hello, are you okay miss?

Sophia look at the bartender from head to toe as if she was scanning him. Then she dropped her glass of alcohol and laughed sadly and said, “Young man, just look at me… Do i look like somebody that is okay to you? My life has broken like a bottle. I was deceived” she picked up the glass and drank from it again … trying to calm herself down

“Please stay calm miss…. it's going to be okay… the bartender said as he tapped her shoulder then he left

When he left.. Sophia continue to speak to herself “Jake said he could not make love with me as his wife… for so many years… All lies and excuses”

Out of frustration, she drop her glass of alcohol and slammed the table lightly “I loved him so much.. i never knew I was fooling myself and wasting my time all these years. Then her phone suddenly started to Ring..

“Who's calling me? she asked as she picked up her phone.

" Jake! I won't answer this call..” she said and hung up. Then after some minutes, she switched off the phone, opened her bag and brought out another phone which has her secret phone number

Then she use the phone and sent him a text message which reads:

"Thanks for betraying me. Thanks for staining our matrimonial bed. I gave you my life, my love and you gave me lies in exchange.. Bye!”

After sending the text message to him, she look at the message for some minutes and whispered: “It's over between us Jake, goodbye"

Then she switched off the phone, put it in her bag and continue to drink.

Moments later, Sophia began to feel headache and she become dizzy. “What's wrong with me? Ah my head is spinning" she said as she rubbed her head with her hands

She tried to stand up but her legs were weak they couldn't carry her

The bartender notice she wasn't okay, he rush to her and said “Are you okay miss?

"I'm fine.. never mind. she replied him

But as she tried to stand up she collapsed to the floor, the bartender shouted for help and an ambulance came and they rushed her to hospital

At the hospital, Sophia was still conscious and could talk and hear but she was very weak machines beeped around her and nurses tried to stabilize her

After some tests the doctor named Kyle look at her and said

“You are pregnant"

Sophia heard it and her heart start beating fast

“God forbid.. i can't carry this baby, doctor Kyle please abort this " she replied in a weak but firm voice

The doctor look at her and said “If we try to remove this pregnancy you might not survive the procedure"
