Teleporting to Valenwood was a risky move. Though it helped them escape the imminent danger, in doing so Jake had risked the safety of the entire kingdom. The mechas were sure to track them down sooner or later.
At that uncertain hour, a royal sentry entered the palace bearing a message.
“Lord Jake, a group of gnomes wish to meet with you. They are outside the palace gate now.”
“Show them in. They are our guests,” replied Jake.
With Jake’s permission, the gnomes were allowed to enter the palace.
Zill was overjoyed to see his own people again. His mother Lana and the two gnome chiefs had made the long and perilous journey from the safety of their warren to Valenwood.
Tears of joy flooded Lana’s eyes as she caught sight of her son once again.
“I am so happy to see you again, Zill,”
