Normalcy returned to the kingdom once more as Vaari bid Emily farewell and disappeared into the cold night. The people of Valenwood searched for the Goddess but all they found was a single black feather atop the dragon’s corpse. They still couldn’t believe what they had witnessed that day. So far they had only heard legends about the might of the abyssal dragons but on this accursed day, they had seen its fearful power unfold right in front of their helpless eyes.
