On Argonus’ orders, the siege crew dropped enormous rocks into the counterweights, which triggered the trebuchets’ arms to jump up and hurl the barrels forward towards their target. As soon as the flying barrels crashed into the mechas the liquid inside came into contact with their metal bodies, freezing them solid.
