A jolt of electricity ran up my spine. My head throbbed. My eyes flew open as it registered what had happened to my body. The implanted neuro communicator embedded deep in my brain, had been activated.
“Iarred. Get up and meet me in my secret layer now. Come alone. It's an emergency.”
The communication ended and my head throbbed once more. Katan had rarely used the emergency communicators that our father had implanted in us at birth. The communicators were only known to us because the doctor who implanted them died shortly thereafter.
I hope Tamsin stays sleep. What if she wakes up and asks me where I’m going?
