They turned more alert when she just applied that Dettol on his skin as if she was applying any acid. She darted around at those fearsome guards holding guns closer to her face. Christian held a poisoned needle close to her skin, he couldn’t trust that innocent face right now. Ava applied ointment to his wound. Her trembling hands didn’t leave unnoticed by his sharp gaze. She put the cotton swab back in her bag. “I am done.” She said. As her mobile rang, guards looked at each other. Christian saw her mobile phone ringing and smirked. “Pick up the call of your leader. Tell them that you succeeding killing me. Otherwise, they would kill you right now.” Christian gestures toward his guards. He had a different plan about it. The car was still moving on the road, She saw her mobile phone, it was her landlord. She gave a cold gaze to Christian and grinned. She put her phone on speaker as Christian told her. “Where are you? Do you want keys for your clinic or not? I will leave within fifteen minutes.” The voice from the other side made Christian squint his eyes. “Hello, Mr Marvel. Please don’t cut my deposit. I have just been stuck in big trouble.” Ava stared at Christian indirectly mentioning him trouble. “I think you don’t need this clinic. I will cancel our contract if you don’t come within ten minutes.” The landlord of that clinic hung up the call. Ava was so stressed that she held her forehead. Jasper stared at Christian and They realised they messed up. “So you didn’t come to kill him?” Jasper asked Ava pointing at Christian. Ava widened her eyes and understood a big misunderstanding between them. “If I wanted to kill him, why would I wait for this long?” Ava said and Christian stared at Jasper angrily. For safety purposes, they quickly stopped the limousine and kicked Ava and Ria out of the car. Leaving them in the middle of the road, the car left leaving dust behind. “Ahhh... Asshole. What they think of themselves.” Ria held her back. Ava waved her hand to clear the dust in front of her eyes. Her heart was still faster than average. They just came out of death’s arms. “Our life is saved, isn’t that enough? Now stop asking for a lift from strangers. We are just here.” Ava looked around her and realised that they came to the exact address. The landlord was a man around his thirties man waiting for them for a while. He grinned when he saw both girls coming to him. Taking out of keys from his pocket, he kept them on the table. “These keys. Now, this clinic belongs to you for the rest of the year. I have a flight within half an hour. Bye.” He sat on his bike and left as soon as possible. Ava and Ria looked at each other. They found that man’s behaviour a little strange. They were standing in front of a shop which was going to be her clinic for a year. Ava looked around, it was noon yet most of the shops were closed. Hardly two-three shops were open. Ava pulled the big shutter up, and the smell of dead animals entered her nose. She crinkled her nose. “Yanks…” Ria closed her nose. “What a rotten smell.” The smell was quite disgusting. Ava felt strange to smell it, it was more like human blood. As she was been to medical college she differentiate between human blood and animal blood. “Emergency blood bank.” Ria showed her old board. Ava understood why she was smelling rotten human blood there. But that place needed to clean because it was messed up. The spider webs at the corner of the roof were making it look haunted. Weird insects were roaming the floor. Ava cleaned the entire shed with the help of Ria. She had so much struggle getting rid of the smell of blood. Even after using various air fresheners and strong incense sticks that rotten smell was not willing to leave the room. She anyhow managed that and made that room sufferable. “Ava, are you sure this is a good place for your new clinic?” Ria asked her once again. Ava was already puzzled about that. Already while they were coming there, a tragic thing happened to her. It was quite difficult to get out of her mind. “This place doesn’t have any clinic around. My clinic would go well.” Ava continued setting up her stuff and equipment. till evening the entire work had been finished, and both attached the name board at the front. Ava stared at her watch, it was late. The babysitter will leave once her job time gets over. Ava and Ria came back to the house. Stella was watching television. “Mumma... Mumma..” she jumped with joy seeing Ava getting in. As expected Baby sitter was already left. Ava served dinner on the table while watching the news Chanel crime time. Just some news about the crime in the cities. “For a few years crime in the city increased too much..” Ria told Ava. Ava just recalled what happened with them in the morning was no less than any horrible incident. If they have not come out of that limousine, they would be in today’s prime-time news. She wondered what that man could be to have such security around him. Even a single touch to him has ignited his bodyguards. “Are you thinking about it?” Ria rolled her eyes and asked her. Ava nodded her head. “He must be some big celebrity.” Ava didn’t agree with her. She was a fan of some pop stars in her teenage. And knowing most of the celebrities in the city. She never saw any video or movie of him. “Or any politician? Like deputy president or any big businessman, or company owner. They always had threats as they are soooo rich..” Ava agreed with Ria’s words this time. Stella has slept and Ava was tired too. She relaxed on her bed hoping for a better day tomorrow. “She just turned and her soft hands grabbed that wine glass.. added.. she held Boss’s shoulder and warned us..” Jasper was busy explaining everything to Mars, like any kind of movie. He was talking with Mars on the phone to discuss the matter. “You won’t believe that. I knew.” Christian sitting on the wooden chair had closed his eyes perching on the chair. He was listening to everything that Jasper told Mars. His eyes flashed everything. “I thought I should have taken her number, that doctor looked so gorgeous.” Jasper joked and Christian coughed. “I want you to Hire G4S men for Christian.” Christian’s security tightened within the evening after what has happened. They came to know how weak the security was when one ordinary doctor reached a Christian's neck. They could not do anything and just watched her hopelessly. “Ask Mars when was he going to come? Drug supply has slowed down.” Christian asked Haron. Mars had already heard that. “He needs a week more,” Haron answered on behalf of Mars. Christian was baffled for a moment. It’s been a week since Mars left for abroad. He needed one more week to refresh his mind. Christian came back and stared at the wound on his neck. That seemed some accidental mark as if she didn’t want to hurt him. “Good for her, otherwise I hate killing beautiful girls,” Christian smirked staring in the mirror. His mobile vibrated in his jacket. That was the famous drug dealer in the city. They were willing to buy drugs from the Black Eagle league instead of the Red pigeon league. Christian was already discussed dealing with them but now they wanted the drug to be supplied within two-three days. Mars handled the drug department quite well and that was why the supply had been slowed down. It was a crucial time for the black Eagle league but as they were replacing Red Pigeon with Black Eagle, Christian decided to handle it on his own. **** “Ouch. Doctor, are you going to kill me or what? Please be gentle.” A lady shouted at Ava when she was treating her hand injury. Ava have a cold glare at her, then rolled surgical tape around her hands gently. “How much?” Lady opened her purse. “Seventy dollars.” Ava calculated the cost of her tape and ointment and service. She told that lady exactly. Lady’s expressions changed as soon as she heard that. She acted as if Ava asked for her life. “You are trying to loot people. My hand got bruises not fractured. Take this fifty dollars. It’s more than enough.” She handed her fifty dollars and left. Ava stared at those fifty dollars for more than a minute. It has been three days since she opened a new clinic, and hardly five patients had visited her clinic. Now just she saw a lady sliding her bike on the slippery road, she helped her and treated her. This was what she got in return. She kept that fifty dollars in her pocket. It was late evening and almost time to close her clinic. The rain had stopped so she quickly pulled the shutter down and left for home. She was not hurrying because Ria was already reached the house to see Stella. She was walking to the nearby bus stand but suddenly the rain started again. Ava took out her umbrella and walked to the pavilion. All of a sudden she saw on the pavilion, a man lying on his stomach, inverted position. She looked around herself but there was no one, not a single street animal could see. That man was not even moving as if he was dead.
