Gizmo panted and shook his head to throw the sweat dripping down his face out of his eyes. He was trying to catch his breath as he finished up his fifth mile, the last half mile of which had been at nearly the steepest incline the treadmill went to. He only had another few hundred feet to go before it would even out. He reminded himself of that as he pushed to finish the six-mile run. The last mile was pretty easy.
