Jill kept herself busy, not sure if she was ready to see or talk to Gizmo, not until her phone chirped. She snatched it off the table faster than she would have thought possible. Then sat staring at the message inviting her for a ride for several minutes. Her heart thundered in her ears as her throat constricted until it was difficult to breathe. Did she want to go? Yes, but was it worth it? Was the thrill of the ride, the way he made her feel worth the danger?
She battled with herself for several minutes before finally deciding yes, she did want to see him, even if this was the last time and sent the message that she"d like to go. Then set the phone aside to go get changed. The cut off sweatpants and oversized t-shirt she wore wouldn"t do for a ride on the motorcycle.
