I took one last look at the pursuers as Steel jumped while embracing me. It was like nothing I had ever experienced. It was like committing suicide. Everything was blurry. The wind hammered into my face. My eyes were being sucked into the back of their sockets with the sudden acceleration. How fast was I falling? Fifty feet per second? And felt like my ears popped. The water breaks beneath my boots: cold water, no breath, only pain. It stung as we hit the water and it’s freezing to our very core. We both submerged and due to the impact of our fall, Steel’s hold on me loosened. And now, he was no longer holding me. Water started to fill up my throat. I tried to move my legs and swimmed up but the water kept on pushing me down. My eyes were already half closed and it started to sting.
