I jumped down the horse, crying and ran towards our house.
My eyes widened when I saw that I was already burning.
I was about to get inside when someone grabbed me and pulled me away from our house.
It was Steel.
“Let me go! I need to save my parents!” I squirmed from his hold. Tears are running down my cheeks.
“We need to leave! They’re coming to get you!” he said desperately.
That was when I heard the galloping sound of the horse coming nearer.
“I need to save them!” I shouted at him.
“There’s no use of saving them! They’re gone! Can’t you see it?” He cupped my face and I cried in despair.
Why was this all happening to me? Was it really a sin to have the power of fire?
Why would they do this to the whole town?
