Chapter Thirty Talon Talon rose to his feet when he heard footsteps coming towards his cell. He was at the bars immediately. “Garnet. What are you doing here?” Garnet glanced towards the guard at her side. “He let me come and say goodbye.” She reached through the bars for his hand. “I don’t want you to die. They’re talking about hanging you tomorrow.” He tried to keep his expression neutral, determined to keep Garnet safe. “Everything will be fine.
