Theo rushed through the cellar, his white shirt had splatters of deep red on his sleeves and one side of his chest making it almost look like some stylish print work. He lunged towards the doors, his fingers fumbling with the keys in his pocket. Every second counted, and the thought of Mary in danger ignited a fire in his chest that consumed every other emotion. He swung the door open with a violent force that matched the turmoil inside him. His footsteps pounded down the corridor, each echo was a relentless reminder that time was slipping away.
