6 weeks later.

The dreams have continued for weeks, always the same thing. I talked to our pack alma, she said they are probably from getting ready to gain my wolf. My birthday was a couple weeks ago I'm officially 20 now. I have been packing things for tonight, I cannot wait to leave here.

The solstic is tonight. I'm super scared that they are going to find out my secret I'll never know till then. Making my way back from the pack kitchen after serving everyone breakfast, I decided to stop and check on my herb gardens that I am not supposed to be growing but do. Heading through the field I found my garden smashed to pieces. All my herbs were ripped up and thrown everywhere. "what the hell?" Looking around there was no one in the fields but me.

Quickly I left before anyone in the pack could see me. Walking out of the fields to head back to my cabin by following the dirt paths. Seeing my cabin ahead of me I walked a little faster. Hoping no one seen me leaving the fields that thought was cut short. There stood Drake leaning against my door with his horrible friends.

"Hello, Alpha heir. Is there something I can help you with." I asked nicely.

"Look at that boys, she's trying to act we don't know about her herb garden. You know the one my father strictly told you no too."

"I am sorry alpha heir, I was giving them to the other pack mates the alma uses them for healing."

"Not anymore she don't. Tonights the spring solstice. You ready for your wolf, houserat! Father has a big surprise for you if you even have a wolf that is."

"I do have a wolf, I can feel her moving around in my chest just like the alma said she would."

" We'll see tonight Bailee. We'll see. Lets go boys." Drake said walking off my cabin porch with his click.

In a hurry, I ran inside and closed the door falling to my knees. I have been starved and beaten by this pack more times than I can count but never has Alpha Crux had a surprise for me ever. This terrifies me more than shifting into my wolf. I'm just overthinking things, make myself something to eat from leftovers yesterday and get myself some rest. I'm going to need it for tonight.

Some venison stew cooked over the fire place and a couple pieces of buttered bread were just what I needed. So much more relaxed now, I can feel myslef starting to drift off by the fireplace. The dreams starting itself again, this time theres a white wolf looking at me in the darkness. She is talking to me but I can barely understand her it's all muffled. "I can't hear you. Speak a little louder wolfy."

"Wake up. You need to wake Bailee its time. Time for us to be one with another."

Chapter four

The shift

Waking up with a startle to hear pounding on my cabin door. "Wake up Bailee, Alpha Crux wants you at the pack house now it's time to for your shift. It is beta Micheal. Let's go!"

" I am coming!" I shouted racing to get out the door. Grabbing the stuff I packed to run with that has my spare clothes in them for me to chane into afterwards."Ready beta!"

We walked down the path and past all the cabins the lake. The small school house that really needs updating, we have way more kids than room in that small school. The walk felt super long, I was completely anxious into seeing what was going on or my surprise would be. Finally making it beta Micheal left and I walked into the pack house.

"Aww, there she is. Bailee tonight you receive your wolf. As alpha my presence is to help ease you and the others into your wolf but it so happens your the only one this year.Are you ready?"

"Yes Alpha Crux, I am ready."

"Ok then , lets head to the clearing. Drake will meet us there."

Giving him a nod we headed to the back clearing that leads back to the lake and thousands of miles of woods that we own. Every instinct I have is telling me to bolt right now. I can feel my bones aching being in front of the moonlight, my jaw itching. Standing there Drake was holding an old leather bound book. Weird.

"Ok Bailee, time to strip off your clothes put them and your bag over there by the tree. I wanna get this over with." He said to me with irritation.

Doing as asked I put my clothes by the tree after taking my clothes off standing in just my bra and undies.

"Now in the name of the moon goddess I command you to shift."

The pain started immediately, I doubled over to the ground. My spine shifted, fur sprouted over my body. Bones and muscles began to shift and change place. It felt like an eternity before I could see my brown paws. "I did it. I got my wolf. Finally we'll be free."

"Yes, you did but now we have to run." A voice said.

"Who are you?" I'm hearing voices and talking to them again great.

"I'm your wolf. The names Ava, now listen to me before it's too late."

"What? What you mean?" 'Crack' the sound of a metal pipe hitting me in the head took Ava and me down. "What's happening?" I cried.

"Tie her down Drake, hurry up I want her outta here." Alpha Crux said.

"Already done dad, read the spell now." Drake replied back their voices growing further away.

"Its ok Bailee, I am with you. Remember I am with you always." Ava said her voice like a monotone in my head.

Chanting started from the alpha as Drake leaned against the tree watching me. Having a hard time moving being tied up , I tried to peer behind Drake to see if my bag was still there.

"Hurry up dad, she is becoming more aware as the minutes pass. Her wolf is healing her!"

"I'm done!" He yelled back "She'll never be in this pack again. I the alpha of AcreMoon hereby banish you Bailee Cho from our pack, you may never return." He said smiling at me. Ava wanted to tear his theoat out but he continued. "I have branded you as a rogue, I won't allow my pack to be apart of your death but there are others out there who will. Goodbye Bailee. Micheal get her outta here. Oh and leave her with none of her clothes, somewhere cold.

"Yes alpha." The beta said. He carried me to his jeep and put me in the back of it. Closing the trunk, he walked over to the tree and grabbed my bag. I was having a hard time watching him but couldn't take my eyes off him either. Who knows what he would do if i had my back turned. Walking back towards his Jeep he tossed my bag to me and climbed into the drivers side, we began to take off.

Ava was anxious pacing back and forth, while I was in full control of my wolf. "Don't shift Bailee, he's stopping soon. You shift we will die."

She was right he stopped and pulled over right next to a Michigan sign, getting out he walked towards the trunk letting me out.

It was freezing, I made sure to grab my bag before he turned around and walked back to his jeep to leave.

" Now what do we do, Ava?" I asked curiously and while shivering.

"Now we run." She said.
