the altar stone. Hands before us, clasped as if in silent prayer. Several
had bowed their heads. The Tablets were each about twenty centimetres by
fifteen centimetres. They lay side by side on the altar, one in two pieces,
the other in three. They had been carefully pushed together; seemingly no
pieces were missing. They were approximately five centimetres thick. I
stared at them, like the others, noting that they had been incised with a
