Chapter 51BristolThe police had been thorough. They had questioned
members of the staff and the security people. They had examined every inch
of the laboratories, inside and outside the strong room and the control unit
several floors above. Uniformed officers had combed the grounds and nearby
roadways.
The inspector in charge of the operation was about to
give his preliminary opinion of the robbery when Leah and I entered the
