Chapter 36Lake LucerneHorst Schendler had a dilemma. He was aware of the
fourteen items located at the university and knew they had now been
authenticated. But he had just been informed a team of experts would soon be
going to Saudi Arabia and they could well return with even more artefacts,
increasing the number and selection of the treasures currently residing in
the faculty building of the Archaeology and Anthropology Department in
Bristol.
Perhaps he should wait for the bigger haul. There would
only be one opportunity to liberate the artefacts, for the horde would
inevitably attract strong protection and sophisticated security equipment.
Timing would be everything.
He must be party to every analysis, every single study,
