Heiming couldn't believe two things. One, he couldn't believe he was seeing. Two, who has ever seen a three eyed human? These made him conclude he was in a dream. The Seer looked at him and smiled. Heiming was purely dumbstruck. Then The Seer's last words came rushing to him, '... I am the indirect cause of your blindness... ' A swelling rage filled his chest, and with a battle cry on his lips, he charged at The Seer, ready to beat the daylights out of his third eye. In another blink of his eyes, he was back on the ground, with chains tying him down and a floating sword to his neck. He began shuddering, suddenly filled with unexplainable fear. All through his ordeal, The Seer kept only his right eye open, staring down at a helpless Heiming. He chuckled.
"If you're interested in hitting me, then do so with a respectable charge and decent magic. Don't be such a barbarian. I will release you from my spell, but you have to behave. "
The fear dissipated in two seconds. By this time, Heiming was calm headed, wholly because he knew that he would never be able to beat the 'thing' in front of him.
The Seer continued. "A mighty space alien came forward to invade Earth. I was sent to keep him at bay, and while fighting, minimize the effect the battle will have on Earth. While fending off his wolves, he looked through his looking glass and found out how I operated. He then fired the blast at me with the intent of taking out my vision. I could've stopped it, but there was very little time to chant the shield spell, and still counter the bigger one trying to sneak up on me. I had to dodge. That's the blast that hit you. "
" But the blast killed my driver! "
" Who got hit first? "
" Me, I suppose. "
" That's why. After hitting one person, it instantly changes to a pulse blast, killing everyone in the immediate surrounding save the first target. The only thing that saved you was that it hit you first. "
Heiming couldn't believe his ears. So if the blast had hit his driver first, he would be the one lying in the tomb. Then the driver would be the one experiencing this awesome... A wide grin lit up his face. But the Seer wasn't done talking.
"On behalf of the Universal Guardians, I have come here to grant you a wish. Please choose wisely. "
Heiming was at crossroads. For that moment, he forgot he was blind. A million thoughts ran through his head. Revenge on the player that tried to play him? Ten lightening bolts on his school principal? The best of life for John... John. He instantly knew what he wanted. Looking up for the first time, he bravely said, "I WANT MY SIGHT BACK!"
Now The Seer froze. Granting back regular organs was out of his jurisdiction, and the one who would have been able to do it chickened out of the visit and sent him instead. Why didn't he act on this version of the future? As for now, the human before him wanted his sight back. He sighed. He had no other option that to part with a fraction of his powers of one eye, that right eye, to Heiming.
Heiming was disappointed when he heard, "Now, I am sending you back." He had expected a big ritualistic lightshow where the almighty deity grants the wish to his noble servants. He however, could not stop listening.
"Time here is a lot slower than in real life. In real life, you have been asleep three weeks. You are in the hospital right now. Choose your words wisely upon resumption to normal life. Now go... "
The voice became too distant as he felt himself being sucked into a hole. There was utter silence for a few seconds, then he felt the soft bed on his back. He tried opening his eyes. "I CAN SEE! I CAN SEE!!" Of all the things, he wanted to see his face again. He rushed to the mirror. A shocking sight greeted him. His eyes were endless holes with nothing but a white diamond shaped dot in its centre. He screamed. He heard the sound of feet running and tried imagining where they would be running to. In that second, he saw them (the doctors) running towards his corridor. He backed and the vision cut. In his shock, he slumped, and found himself back on the island.
