Chapter 7

Crow's P.O.V.

I left Snow in her room alone. I began to walk somewhere quiet, left alone with my thoughts. Her heart it wasn't beating. Was she like me then? It didn't make any sense. Why wasn't it beating? Now I was intrigued. I was going to find out. I took out my phone, calling Alexia. 

"Hello?" she yawned on the other end. I then heard another noise. Maybe voice?

"What the hell was that?"

"Nothing, I just drop something." Liar. I let it go for now. "What's up?"

"I need to discuss some things with you tomorrow."

"K. How did it go at Dunn's house?" 

"I'll explain at school tomorrow."

"Um, ok. Night." She then hung up. I went straight to my house, I needed some blood. when I got home I laid in bed drinking blood, thinking. Humans are such strange creatures. Hmmm, something doesn't seem right. With any of this. I will get to the bottom of this and when I do..someone will pay, I smirked to myself before finishing off my drink.

I screamed. I was breathing very heavily. Damn another nightmare. I rested my hand on top of my chest. I grabbed another blood bag. This all I could use for now, since I couldn't attack anyone yet. I couldn't risk any humans knowing my kind was alive. I then left to go to school, heading to find Alexia, I spotted her by the corner at the end of the hallway. As I approached her I heard something crack. I stopped.

"s**t!" I looked her dumbfounded. Then it hit me. It's no wonder I couldn't tell. I smirked. Well things just got interesting. I walked towards her she looked at me shocked trying to put back the ring. "Hey-y, So-" I grabbed her by the hand dragging her gently towards outside. I didn't even noticed that miss red cheeks saw us suspiciously. Hmm I guess have found new nickname. We stood across from the school with no one around. I didn't need anyone knowing. "Your a hunter aren't you?!" 

"No I am not." She stood still, staring at me.

"Then.."

"How can I tell? Well it's quite simple I'm a pureblood vampire. And you...your a half blood aren't you?" She nodded. 

"That's why you could tell, wasn't it? After the ring broke. Half bloods don't have a human nor a vampire scent. Half bloods also can't sense pureblood scents, which is why I wouldn't know your a vampire." 

"So your mother is....your father is...?"

"My mother is a vampire and my father is a human." Hmm. Interesting.

"Do the others know...about you being a half vampire?" 

"No! No body except maybe Snow." I looked up shocked. That doesn't make sense.

"She knows?! The human girl clearly likes vampires." 

"Yeah....til she sees a real one.."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't wanna talk about it...all I can say be careful with her." Clearly she wasn't going to steal me the whole deal. I have to wait til she trust me. 

"I do have one thing to share with you, about Miss Dunn." She turned her head curiously.

"Is it about what you wanted to tell me?" I nodded. Maybe this would get her attention.

"Yesterday at her house, I discovered her heart wasn't beating." Her mouthed dropped opened.

"What? How is that possible for a human? Is she a vampire then?" I shook my head.

"I don't think so. It doesn't make sense." She thought for a moment, thinking. Then she gasped.

"Unless maybe She is a human, maybe she's using a illusion shield." What?

"A shield?"

"Yes, my father told me about them." "I don't know too much about it. All I know is their used to trick vampires."

"So theirs a chance she could be a hunter then?" She nods. Could she be? Then again I couldn't really trust anyone.

"So..now what do we do about class?"

"You go ahead first, I'll go in later. I'm not too keen on human education." She looked as if she wanted to ask why I was here then but let it go. She nodded, waving goodbye before going in. I waited long before I went in it was lunch. I sat with the humans again. They talked about the usual. Made fun of Misty and Snow as usual. At the moment I wasn't too interested in human foolish drama,

I then felt a presence not too far away staring, I already knew who it was. I turned my head, giving her a smirk. I caught miss red cheeks staring at me. She then turned her head, not looking. How cute. After the school was over I got a call. I waved goodbye to my human group and left. When I got home I answered.

"Crow." John asked. His voice was different. He sounded very different. Whenever John called he was alway polite and happy. This was the complete opposite. 

"John? What's wrong?" 

"I'm not sure, something isn't right?" s**t! This was serious. What if something happened to the kids. Damn it! 

"Is it the kids, John!?" He was silence. f**k! 

"I need you to bring a bunch of blood bags right now!"

"Ok! On my way!" f**k! What the hell was happening? I went to gave as many blood bags as I could and put them in a big bag. I even put one in my pockets just in case. I rushed out the door heading to my car. As I tried to head out, my car was working. What the? f**k!! Damn you! Stupid human car!

I got out and took the bag in hand running with it. Hoping to get there. Those kids meant everything to me. I don't need another nightmare to add on. John called again but I didn't answer I just need to hurry. I was halfway there when I heard a gunshot. I dodged quickly, nearly misses my skin. Damn! I moved to the right. I then heard a loud voice.

"BASTARD!!" I turned my head to see a man standing across from me. s**t. This ain't good....
