Cold Blooded Love

Chapter 9

John stood as we both looked confused. He turned his head to look at me. Untangling his arm so he now stood face to face to me. I could see he struggled with it, but managed to stand. My eyes widen, worried.

"Easy there, miss red cheeks." He looked straight into my eyes. "I'm not gonna fall. I just want to give you a thank you." A thank you? Before I knew it, he placed his lips on to mine, I then kissed him back, as he slowly deepened the kiss before pulling away. I stood there with my cheeks red, staring as he not sure what to think as he waved and left without a word. I then looked one last time before leaving.

I walked my way back through the buildings making sure I didn't run into that crazy guy. Who was he anyway? what was that fight about? It made me wonder, I definitely didn't know Crow all that well. I started over thinking what is going on with Crow. That kiss. I could still feel it on my lips, lingering.

What the hell was that? I could feel myself blush again. Part of me wanted to see more of him, he didn't seem so bad. He seem like he could be nice when he wants to be. Another part of me was torn, was he going to hurt me? was this a game? a plan to get at me, along with Alexia and her crew? They already had Sam. 

Sam, I haven't really thought about him in a while. It was probably better this way since he has a girlfriend, my ex best friend. Now I may like someone else Now I needed to figure what exactly is this liking and what exactly is going on that boys head.

I then reach Misty's house, texting her as she let me in. I didn't mention what had happen today. Out of respect since it wasn't any my business... or maybe out of fear? I didn't know. We hung out in her room, on the bed watching some movies. My mind began to wonder as I stared at the tv screen with the movie playing, of two people fighting each other. I started to feel uneasy feeling stirring before the feeling disappeared. I haven't had this happen in a long while. She paused the movie, getting up. 

"Hold on, I'm gonna go grab some more snacks....you ok?" She notices my face expression. I nodded, smiling,

"Yeah, I'm fine.." she nodded heading to the kitchens I looked back at the screen. What would have happened if I told Misty about today? 

Crows POV 

John helped me to the vampire orphanage. I sat down on the couch next to the corner, hearing the kids run in fear to me, hugging me. They looked so frightened. Goddamnit! I patted the kids head trying to calm them down. "Thank goodness your here, uncle Crow!" One kid talked.

"Yeah-h! We're so happy to see you!" Another kid injected in. Then they gasped. 

"Uncle Crow-w, your bleeding!" Another added.

"Now now, children, your safe..and don't worry about me, I'm fine." they nodded, "now run along as I discuss things with John." 

"Ok!" They all shouted, leaving the room.

 "What the hell happened Sir?" 

"A hunter." He gasped. 

"A hunter found you?! How?"

"That's what I would like to know. Anyway what happened? You called me earlier."

"Ah yes, the children their were scared, they said strange things were happening, but nothing happened to them, when I left to get some blood bags for them..well let me show you." He went to go get it as I sat with my feet down on the floor. He brought the blood bags. I raised an eyebrow. "It's not human blood, sir, it's our blood." The blood bags were vampire blood?! If vampire drank from its own kind they would get sick.

"What the hell?!" Someone must have tampered with the blood bags. I don't think they realize we can smell our blood as well. I also need to pay a visit to the vampires sending our blood bags. 

"Not only that sir, I think they were also in here." What? "I'm not sure what for, to try and hurt the kids or to look for anything to use against us." s**t!

"Here, I have one blood bag I saved when I got attacked." I took it out handing it to John. "Give it to the kids."

"Are you sure?" He said. I nodded, laying back down.

"Yeah, just do me a favor and get me some more blood bags from my house, here. Be careful." He nodded, taking my keys, before he left, he turned to me.

"Do you think a hunter did it?"

"Don't know. Maybe...." My concern was, how the hell did this happened? My eyes had caught something in the blood bag. Who ever did this was no fool, nor was I, just you wait, I won't be playing by their rules, I'll be playing by my own terms. I was left to my thoughts as I heard the door closed. 

My mind ran over what happened today, or what exactly I did. The kiss. Ah, yes the f*****g kiss I had with Snow, she tasted so good. I needed another taste. Might as well have fun while I can. I smirked to myself, closing my eyes as I wait for John.

Nora POV

We sat in the food court in the mall, eating our foods after shopping around. The people around joyfully walking, couples walking hand in hand. I frowned a little, I wished I had that, as I continue to pick into my pasta. Alexia was on her phone, texting, while Hannah and Paulette were eating. Truth be told, the dress I had brought today was for the halloween dance but I couldn't let the girls know. I stopped eating, swallowing nervously as the girls looked up.

"Nora, you ok?" I nod.

"Girls, I think I have a crush on someone!" They gasped asking who. I told them after they asked. Gasping even more. Alexia started looking a little pale.

"Nora...are you sure..that you like him?" I looked confused.

"Well I think she should go for it." Hannah added. 

"Yeah you guys would look soo cute!" I smiled. Alexia look like she wanted to add in but closed her mouth.

"Ok girls it's settle, I'll work up the courage to confess when the time is right!" The girls cheered. Making me feel good. I was happy, I was gonna be like these people hand in hand walking down places. I. Looked up to see Alexia distracted. "Hey you ok, girl?" She nodded.

"Yeah I'm fine." She smiled, as we all continued to eat. For some strange reason, I didn't believe her.
