Episode 8: Split and Hunted

790 Words
The Perfect Setup Elena didn’t rush revenge. She designed it. Carefully. Patiently. Two traps. Two locations. Same night. Because she knew one thing for sure: If you can’t break them together… break them apart. The Call That Started It Luca got the first call. One of his men—beaten, barely breathing. “Warehouse 17…” the voice rasped. “They’re waiting…” Luca didn’t hesitate. He grabbed his gun. “I’ll handle it.” Alessia stepped forward instantly. “I’m coming.” “No.” His tone was sharp. Final. “I don’t need backup.” Her eyes hardened. “You don’t get to decide that alone.” But he was already moving. Mistake. The Second Trap Minutes after Luca left— Alessia’s phone rang. Unknown number. She answered. A familiar voice. Soft. Mocking. “Elena.” Alessia’s grip tightened. “What do you want?” “A trade,” Elena replied calmly. “Come alone… or Luca doesn’t walk out of this.” Silence. That was all it took. Separated Luca walked straight into darkness. The warehouse lights flicked on. Too quiet. Too clean. Then— Gunshots. Men surrounded him instantly. He moved fast—taking one down, then another— But there were too many. A blow from behind. Hard. Everything went black. Alessia Walks Into War Alessia didn’t bring backup. Didn’t call anyone. Didn’t hesitate. She arrived at an empty compound. Doors already open. Waiting. “Come out,” she said coldly. Slow clapping echoed. Elena stepped out of the shadows. The Reveal “You came alone,” Elena smiled. “Of course,” Alessia replied. “You don’t deserve more than that.” Elena’s eyes flickered with irritation. “Still arrogant.” Alessia tilted her head. “Still second choice.” That landed. Hard. Luca Wakes Up Pain. Sharp. Blinding. Luca opened his eyes to darkness. Tied to a chair. Blood on his lip. Adrian stepped into view. “Welcome back,” he said calmly. Luca didn’t speak. Just stared. Murder in his eyes. Two Wars, Same Night Back at the compound— Elena circled Alessia slowly. “You think he’s coming for you?” she asked softly. Alessia didn’t move. “No,” she said. Pause. “He’s already fighting.” At the warehouse— Adrian crouched in front of Luca. “You always get in my way,” he said. “But tonight… you don’t win.” Luca spat blood to the side. “You already lost,” he said. Adrian smiled slightly. “We’ll see.” Alessia Fights Back Elena struck first. Fast. A knife slicing toward Alessia— But Alessia blocked, twisting her wrist and slamming her into the wall. “You really thought I didn’t learn from you?” Alessia snapped. Elena hit back. Hard. The fight turned brutal instantly. No elegance. Just rage. Punches. Grabs. Blood. Luca Breaks Free Back in the warehouse— Luca didn’t wait. He snapped the chair back, breaking one leg loose— Swing. A guard dropped instantly. Another rushed him—Luca drove his head forward, smashing into him. Chaos. Violence. Pure survival. Alessia vs Elena Elena slammed Alessia to the ground. “You lost him tonight,” she hissed. Alessia’s hand found the knife. Twist. Elena gasped as the blade cut her arm. Alessia pushed her off, standing again. “No,” she said coldly. “I don’t lose what I chose.” Luca vs Adrian Luca charged Adrian. Fists flying. No holding back. Each hit carried anger, protection, possession. “You don’t say her name,” Luca growled, slamming him into a wall. Adrian hit back—but slower now. Weaker. Still smiling. “You’re fighting for something you don’t understand,” Adrian muttered. Luca grabbed him— “You’re still breathing. That’s your only advantage.” Breaking the Trap Alessia finally pinned Elena. Gun raised. Steady. “You should’ve stayed gone,” Alessia said. Elena laughed weakly. “You’re still not enough to keep him.” Alessia didn’t react. Didn’t flinch. Just— “I don’t need to be.” Reunion in Chaos Luca burst into the compound minutes later. Breathing hard. Covered in blood. Eyes searching— Until he saw her. Alessia. Standing. Alive. Gun still in her hand. Their eyes locked. Everything else disappeared. The Aftermath No words at first. Just distance closing. Fast. Luca pulled her into him roughly. Like he needed proof she was real. “You don’t do that again,” he said against her. “You either,” she replied. Neither of them meant it. Final Line They tried to break them. Separate them. Destroy them from both sides. But what they didn’t understand was simple: Some bonds don’t weaken under pressure… They become unbreakable.
