Chapter 1“Is that who I think it is?” Rachel Vidal glanced up at the television screen in the waiting room of the busy Toronto hospital. Over the shuffle of the nurses’ shoes and the coughs of other patients, a television screen buzzed with life. A woman with fine features spoke into a mic on the screen. She had light brown hair coiffed at the shoulders and wispy bangs framed her heart-shaped face. Her lips were red, her eyes immaculately lined, and she was dressed in the consummate professional attire that would go along with being a news caster.
