Chapter 2By the time Rachel arrived at the office building, two people were leaving. Both were tall, with red scarves, and darker skin—so not Georgia. Rachel ran over to them and held the door so she could also slip her own way inside. “Thank you,” the woman said. “Happy holidays.” Rachel wished them the same with a tight smile. Christmas had long since passed, but New Years was still approaching quickly. The office building’s foyer had holly and ivy wrapped around the front desk, along with a small Christmas tree with a star on top presented on the front desk’s corner.
