CHAPTER 2

The day passed by in a really slow pace.
It's that type of a day that Alex wishes to just end up with just a snap.
Well today is not his day.
Their seniors and even batch mates did nothing but to order them around.
Not like he's complaining cause he has no choice anyways.
It's also not like the seniors asked them to do stuff aggressively.
In the end of the day Alex had no choice but to silently complain about his tiredness.
He just want to go home, lay on his bed and rest.
Which is something he can't do because he still needs to go to his part time job.
Some students changes their clothes at least before heading home after their busy day.
That's actually not that important to Alex right now.
He thinks that it was just a waste of time.
He fixed his things,
bid his friends goodbye then go straight to his job.
It is a small café near the campus.
It's not as popular as the other cafés, because it's not really that eye catching from the outside.
Not unless you know someone who already knew about the café or someone working from there like him you would never know that this Cafe actually exists.
He's really thankful for his boss' help by hiring him.
Alex is more than aware that hiring a student as a partimer is really a tough decision.
Especially when his business is not even that popular.
That's why he is the only partimer in the café.
"Oh you finally arrived" -
Jacob said as soon as he noticed Alex coming in.
"Sorry if I'm late again" -
It's not the first time that Alex got late.
He knows that it's not even a big deal since there's only few costumers coming in the café but he still feels like he need to apologize.
"It's nothing why are you even bothered? We can perfectly handle everything. Haha anyways go change into your uniform now before the boss arrives, you know how much he loves his personalized uniform" -
Jacob casually told him.
Alex immediately obeyed.
Jacob is right,
his boss is really proud with his staff's uniform.
Well maybe because he was the one who made them.
Jacob is actually a co-owner of the café.
He also greets Jasmine when he walk past the kitchen heading to their staff room.
Jasmine is their chef, who basically cooks everything.
After changing, he got out from the room and headed out to his station which is the cashier.
He also serves most of the time because there are only three of them there.
If their boss is here,
he practically get Alex's job in serving to entertain their costumers.
The only thing that is possitive about an underrated Cafe, is that it's not hectic and can accommodate their costumers really well.
But the rest are not really good.
It's a good thing that they sells a lot of stuff aside from foods and drinks.
If not,
the café probably goes out of business by now.
They also sells some art crafts since their boss is also an artist,
actually it's the three of them excluding Alex.
That is the main theme of the Cafe.
It's art,
is enough to be called extraordinary.
It used to be a logic for him back then but he actually figured it out after his more than two years of working there.
It's like his boss doesn't really like his café to be known.
The only thing that keeping this Cafe moving is those old couples coming here for dinner.
Their boss is always requesting them to take a Polaroid photo to hang it to the café's wall.
Sometimes they also offers free portraits.
That is actually the best thing for Alex.
There are also these middle age men that Alex thought are close with the three.
They always jam and hang out in the café quite a bit late at night.
Alex eventually got close to them later on.
It was more like a hobby now for Alex it's not a job anymore.
He eventually find himself falling in love to the idea that his bosses never thought that its all about earning but instead it was about sharing not only the beauty of the arts but also the coziness of the place.
He just found himself being relaxed and all of his stress are relieved everytime he go to the cafe.
10:30 pm when Alex finally get a chance to head home.
There's an event at school that's why there's no given homework, he was able to sleep as soon ay he reach his dorm.
After a quite long walk from the Cafe to their dorm,
he finally arrived.
The way is dark,
creepy and not really safe but he is already used to it,
good thing that he's not that sleepy.
When you think about a university's dormitories you actually imagines a huge building with rooms and it's either you share with someone or live on your own.
That type of dormitories actually exists but only for those who can actually afford them.
Alex is a scholar,
he studies in the university for free.
He is living a comfortable life for free or at least a house with current and water in it.
Alex is practically living in a house with eleven other people.
He finally entered the house and greeted by his three housemates busy doing their works in the dining table.
The other two are busy watching television.
"Have you eaten dinner yet?" -
Lj asked.
He is a senior in the university in the faculty of Architecture.
"It's okay, I already ate at the café before heading back here" -
Alex answered politely.
"You know what Alex, we should hang out at the Cafe this month maybe after the event?"-
Albert suggested.
He is also a senior in the faculty of Agriculture.
"That's actually a good idea, what do you think Mike, Alex, you two? -
Lj agreed and also asked for their other housemates' opinions.
" I think we should asked for the others too, not that I'm against it, why not I bet my bosses will be glad. Also be my guests guys" -
Alex replied.
The others also agreed and say that they will asked for the other housemates if they are in.
Alex entered their room who he shared with three other people.
There's two double decks on each side of the room.
He is in the right side which is near the window where the sun rises.
They usually covered the window to keep their room dark.
He sleeps in the lower part of the deck.
JJ is the one in the upper deck that he was sharing with.
While on the other deck is Mark in the upper, then Austin in the lower.
All of them are in the same year as Alex.
Mark is in faculty of engineering,
Austin is in Faculty of medicine,
and then JJ is in faculty of Accountancy.
The three of them is quite popular around the school.
"Guys, Albert suggested that we should hangout this month in the Cafe where I am working" -
Alex asked getting the attention of the three.
They immediately agreed.
Alex get some clothes,
headed to the bathroom which is outside their room.
Showered, get changed, brush his teeth, head back to the room, and then sleep.
Before he could even sleep he received a message.
He grabbed his phone and checked it,
to his surprise its that unknown number who texted him earlier.
'Oh just someone. I don't have any intention of creeping you out. I saw you earlier when I sent you the message you really looked surprised. I don't even get why you are so surprised about having a fan when you really have a lot of them.' -
That's basically how the text goes.
'What are you talking about why do I even have fans? Can you just stop pulling some pranks on me. Lastly where did you get my number?' -
he replied,
he knows that it sounds rude but when someone pulling this type of pranks on him, its really getting annoying.
He also knows that he won't gonna have a nice sleep tonight because of that person.

'funny how you looked around looking so clueless.' -
With that Alex felt shivers from his spine.
He was about to reply when he got interrupted by someone.
Once again.
"Alex" -
She softly said.
He stops and looked at the person who is standing in front of him.
