CHAPTER 4

Lunchtime and the four of them are busy eating.
And by the four of them, probably only Alex is the only one busy eating while the other three is either looking for their handsome schoolmates or just talking about some nonsense.
"Alex" -
Alex got cut off from his eating because someone called him.
He immediately searched where the voice came from and smiled as soon as he saw Sam smiling sweetly at him.
He immediately signals her to join them.
Alex tapped the space beside him so that Sam can sit.
When Sam finally sits comfortably both of them turns their attention to the other people at the table.
Alex almost had a heart attack because of surprise.
His three friends are looking at him suspiciously.
"I didn't know Alex already had someone special and didn't even bother telling his friends about it" -
Thea said with her squinted eyes still looking straight at him.
Alex and Sam looked at each other, and both are having a surprised expression.
Out of no where both of them chuckled lightly.
You can almost hear the similarity of their chuckles.
Alex's friends suddenly become confused on what in the world these two are laughing about.
"Wait Thea, Elaine, and Niks what the heck special someone are you talking about? This girl over here, is my cousin" -
Alex explains while putting hi arm around Sam's shoulder.
The three girls definitely looked surprised.
"Okay to be clear let me introduce myself, I am Samantha Cyrine Nuebles Diaz. And yes I am Alex's younger cousin I'm a year younger and I'm from the Faculty of Business Management " -
Sam confidently introduced herself.
"I mean gosh we know you of course you're quite popular not only in the second year but also to us seniors" -
Niks explained in such a happy way.
Sam can't help but be flustered by the complements.
"Yes we are not even surprised by the fact that she is popular just look at her. She is pretty, smart, and talented. The only thing that surprised us is the fact that you are eating here with us and..
And you are a cousin a Alexis Miguel haha. That's really surprising "-
Elaine said that earned a deadly stare from Alex.
And Elaine is not even bothered by that.
" What do you mean surprising? Just look at us "-
Alex said then put their faces close as if he is comparing.
" You can't even see the difference. It's basically in our gene" -
Alex added while wearing a proud smile in his face.
"What gene? We can't see it" -
Elaine replied looking so confused.
The smile immediately disappeared from Alex's face.
The other girls can't help but to laugh with the two who are fighting like a kid.
Their lunch goes by with laughter that's probably the first time Alex talk that much because Elaine never stops teasing him.
Sam bid her goodbyes to her cousin and it's friends.
Then the four head back to their own businesses .
Hours passed by once again and a lot of students are all heading back to their houses or dormitories .
Alex also wants to go back and sleep but that's a no for him.
He still needs to be at the Cafe to do his job.
On his way to the Cafe he noticed how many students going to different places after school.
There are a lot of stores and Cafe around the university.
Unlike those fancy, heavily decorated, and huge signs cafés,
their Cafe I quite unnoticeable.
The design outside is quite unattractive even it's name is not attractive, who would name their cafe "The Bosses' realms"?
Like, that's already weird.
It's more like a Halloween theme Cafe all year round.
Because there are some graffiti outside that show a lot of depressing shades.
It's really creeping a lot of costumers out.
If you are someone who knows something about psychological arts this are those types graffiti that is obviously painted by a mentally unstable person.
It's really creepy it's more like a hunted house than a Cafe.
His boss actually already explained it to him why they decided to named and designed the Cafe like that.
Actually the word Bosses' discribes those specific types of person.
Can be a depressed person or a person that used to have a huge interest in arts and also can be just a person feeling lost.
Depending upon the person who will explain them.
Well we all know what a realm is,
Realms is actually a palace or a place that someone own.
It can also be a place where you feel like you are belong, as if it's your own place.
It's actually pretty deep for a normal person.
That's why if you are a psychologist or art majored you will definitely like it here.
Based on what he's boss' explanation,
they decided to open the Café for the people who wanted to fit in .
So that the people who felt left out can feel at home.
The inside of the Cafe is not that big, it has three group table that can be occupied by up to eight people in the middle of the Cafe.
Through the side there are another three small tables that can occupied by two to three people same with the other side.
There is a jazz and relaxing music that is always playing.
The light is just quite dim not too dark and not too bright.
There are a lot of paintings and crafts displayed.
There's also a corner where you can choose and buy some .
The drinks and foods are also very artistic, it's really obvious that it is perfectly plated.
The Cafe has this warmth that is really welcoming.
'This is the place where the lost souls find its home.'
thats basically how Alex discribes this place.
It's really weird that the owner doesn't even want it be popular,
And that's because he wanted people come here because they wanted to heal not because they just found out that other people came here.
And Alex eventually wanted the same thing,
that people will come to the Cafe to appreciate the place.
Like what he always do.
He already starts to do his job,
but suddenly got cut off by his phone when it suddenly vibrates.
He's expecting that it will be the unknown weirdo that keeps on bothering him.
To his surprise it's not, it's Sam.
'Lex your Mom said that you better answer her calls. You know how much she hates it when you don't pick up when she calls you ' -
With that Alex mood totally changed.
'I honestly doesn't received any calls from her. Anyways, fine Sam I'll talk to her. Thanks' -
He replied.
He calm himself,
he easily gets stressed out every time it is related to his parents.
But destiny doesn't really give enough for him.
' I know that I have no rights, but still, I will know it myself. I really take my time replying to you so that you can miss me' -
As he reads it, his stress totally increases.
Speaking of the devil.
That unknown weirdo messaged him, again .
"this annoying punk" -
he thought.
'you won't really stop being a weirdo? I actually never hated someone this much. And I'm not even sorry for being rude. It's your fault anyways' -
He replied then immediately diverted his attention to other things that can distract him.
"the universe won't really let me have a perfect day? " -
he thought.
He never been so exhausted in his life like this.
It's already quite late when he finally got a chance to go home.
Aside from being physically exhausted,
he is also tired mentally and emotionally.
He is really tired but he still forced himself to walk, heading back home.
On his way, its quite darker than usual.
Alex tried so hard not to be scared,
he actually can be easily scared but he still pretended to be tough.
Then suddenly he felt a presence in the post light a head.
He calm himself down, while step by step he got pretty close to the post light.
Then suddenly there's a black figure leaning to the post.
He walk pretty slow at first and never throw a sight to the figure.
Until he finally walk past it.
He can even smell cigarette coming from it.
At that point he realized that it's not a spirit or ghost but it can be a bad guy.
His heart almost go out from his chest when he felt that it moves and slowly following him.
"oh God help me please please" - he silently praying as his steps goes a little faster.
He's heart is pumping really hard.
Almost hurting his chest.
"what the heck is going on? God help me" -
he was silently crying .
He clenched his fist tight.
Slowly gulping.
"Hey" -
The figure said.
"OW s**t" -
Alex's immediate response.
So, he's a man.
But because Alex freaked out.
He immediately ran as fast as he can.
He can clearly hear that the guy is calling him.
But he doesn't give a f**k.
He run and run as if his life depends on it.
When he reached the house he immediately entered and go straight to his room.
"f**k this day" -
He said then decided to sleep without changing his clothes because he was so tired and stressed and scared.

SNEAK PEEK:
He was about to carry the bag again when he noticed that there's also a hand reaching down for it.
It's like slow motion on how both of their hands reached for bag.
Alex with his reflexes immediately retrieved his hand back when both their hands brush against each other.
Alex doesn't have a single clue why he suddenly felt flustered.
It was just a hand.

I don't know why the last scene was stuck in my head for a few days after writing it. I just really find it funny, I guess?
Anyways one character was revealed, yey.
