Peter knew from the moment Ana came close and he smelled her alluring perfume he knew she was of no good intentions. Then when she did the thing with her robe he realized his assumption of seduction was true. Little Miss Innocent has come to seduce him, it would be quite fascinating he thought so he let her try as he watched. “About what?” he asked, leading her on. “ About us” she kept smiling, Peter thought it was foolish as it wasn't working at all. “Is it me_ I feel kind of hot in here. '' Ana said, dropping her robe, taking Peter by surprise as she stepped away from it. Peter didn't see that coming, she caught him with the element of surprise. He had to give that to her as he tried to compose himself. He was beginning to feel the heat she talked about not in the room, but from what he saw. He could see her pointy breasts bounce, he could also see she was shaved and neat, she had a beautiful body, a beautiful body that belonged to a gold digger, he reminded himself of that and controlled himself. “You were saying?” Peter set Ana back on track. “Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about us,” Ana continued as she moved closer to him. “There is nothing about us to talk about, there won't be anything_ this. whatever you are trying to do will never work.” Peter tries to end her madness before she gives more than he can handle. “It will, if we give it a chance” she suggested reaching for him, but Peter stopped her hands before they came close. “A chance at what? You must be dreaming to think I would have anything to do with someone from the slums like you. I told you from the start, that Papa Li wanted us married, and we are, but on paper for the six years, we are never going to be intimate. I made it clear” Peter was getting angry, she was beginning to irritate him. Ana was losing confidence, she had done everything Gloria told her, and she feared it wasn't working. “I feel we could_” “No, listen to me, you, pretending slut, acting all good and innocent yet trying to crawl into the bed of a man that doesn't want you. Nothing would ever happen between us, get that into your head” Peter shouted at Ana frightening her. “Now get that!” Ana was startled and made haste to leave. “Come back here” he called when. She was at the door. “ let this, be the last time, you try to do a thing like this_ now pick up this thing you came with and leave dirty slut” Ana quickly picked up the tray and managed to hold on to it as she fled the room crying. Ana was still crying when she got to her room. She shouldn't have allowed Gloria to talk her into this, now she had been ridiculed, rejected, and thrown out. She will never try to seduce him again, he has made it clear enough that Peter doesn't want her. “Ana dear, I'm so sorry” Gloria said to Ana the moment she got into Ana's room and met her crying. “What happened? Did he hurt you? Please say something” she tried to make Ana talk, as she cried like a child. Gloria felt bad, this happened because of her. “It's okay, I'm sorry_ please stop crying and tell me what happened. Did he hurt you?” Gloria asked again, checking Ana's body to see if she was hurt anywhere. Peter was never known to be violent especially not with women, the Xung men were never known for that, but Peter has been of strange behavior since he met his girlfriend, the more reason Papa Li didn't approve of her. Gloria thought. “He_ didn't hurt me” Ana managed to say, in between her crying. “Thank goodness” Gloria was relieved, she could never have forgiven Peter if he had. “Then what happened?” she asked. “He said so many terrible things to me_ he said things would never work between us” Ana explained in tears. It wasn't just his rejection that hurt Ana, she had feelings for Peter as much as she tried to deny it, that they weren't real or that she was trying to make the marriage work because of Gloria and in respect for Papa Li, deep down she was trying because she wants Peter. Ana was in love with Peter. She had always loved him from the day Papa Li introduced them. “I'm so sorry, dear. It's my fault, I shouldn't have pushed you to” Gloria apologized. “It's not you Gloria, you did good. You felt it was the right thing to do” “But it wasn't, look at you,” Gloria said referring to how much Helen had cried. “It was, there was no way, you would have known, it would turn out like this” “I should have known dear, Peter is caught in the claws of that which he calls a girlfriend and is blinded not to see her for who she is. I should have known she had a strong hold on him, and not sent you to him like that” “You did nothing, Gloria, you didn't send me to Peter, I agreed to go because I wanted to, because I wanted to give us a chance. I went because I'm in love with him, Gloria” Ana confessed her deepest secret and wept. “Oh! Dear” Gloria said, feeling sorry for Ana. She loves him, she should have seen it, She loves the arrogant spoiled brat. Gloria felt bad she led a vulnerable girl on. She made Ana feel hope and that their plan would work. Now she ended up making things worse as she was in love with him. Gloria regrets her actions and she wishes she could undo them, she thought as she rocked Ana who was crying on her. “I'm never doing this again, I will never go to him again. Things will never work between us, I disgust him. I saw that today. You should see his face Gloria, the way he looked at me like I was a piece of s**t! I will never go to him” Ana said, wiping away her tears. Gloria just stared at her in pity and couldn't find the right word to say to her. “It's okay if he doesn't want me, he never wanted me, we were both forced into this, Papa Li somehow, I don't know, noticed I loved Peter and tried to get us together,” Ana said with a half laugh and Gloria smiled at her. “It's okay if he will never want me or love me back, it's okay to be his rejected wife for the rest of the years we have to be married. It is okay to love someone and they don't love you back. I can deal with all that. But what I can't deal with is having him look at me with so much hate because I try to make a move on him_ I can't take that Gloria” Ana began to cry again. “It's okay child, stop it already, you have cried enough” Gloria consoled her. “I will stop, I'm never going to cry about him again, he can go ahead and be with whoever he wants to be with, and continue to disrespect our supposed marriage. This is the last time I will ever go to him, so I have decided to let things be as he wants for the remaining five years of our marriage, and at the end of the five years I will leave for good” Ana said, letting the tears she had been holding back fall. “Poor child, it's okay, if that's your decision” Gloria supported wiping away the tears on Ana's face and giving her a tight hug.
