I gave a playful smile. "I said, I can help you with whatever's bothering you—body or otherwise. Who would've thought our Alverton University's heartthrob is actually a little incubus?"
His entire body tensed up. A humiliated flush crept from his ears down past his collar. A low, hoarse voice ground out two words: "Get out."
A: [Ooh, if you really wanted her out, she wouldn't have made it through that door. Every heat cycle you hide yourself away so no one in the world can find you.]
B: [If she pounced on you right now, you wouldn't say no.]
Really?
I stepped closer and grabbed his tail—the one that had shot straight up from sheer nervousness.
His body went limp instantly. Even his attempt to push me away had no strength behind it.
The thick, sweet scent of milk exploded in the air, fully awakening my bloodlust.
I tackled him to the floor. His hand clamped around the back of my neck—then loosened, as if afraid of hurting me. "You—you're a vampire?"
"Yep, baby."
My fangs pierced the pink bead. Warm liquid, sweet and rich, slid down my throat—a relief like nothing I'd ever felt. Winston's blood was better than anyone else's. No contest.
I licked my lips, lifted my head, and curved my crimson eyes into a smile. I'm the considerate kind of vampire. I don't just take care of myself and leave my partner hanging.
So after I'd fed, I stripped off his shirt entirely. His body was at that perfect stage between boy and man—muscles defined but not overdone. I admired the view for a moment, and a certain thought grew louder in my mind.
So I went with it.
Winston, who'd been staring dazedly at the ceiling, snapped back to his senses. He tried to push me away. "Not that. Get up."
I didn't listen. I pressed closer instead. He let out a muffled groan, biting his lip hard. The veins on his hands—gripping my shoulders—bulged with strain. His voice shook, but he still tried to reason with me. "An incubus in heat might affect whoever's close to him. I'm sorry. You're Dorian's girlfriend. You'll regret this."
"I broke up with him," I said. "I've decided I don't like him anymore." I pinned his hands above his head and bent down to kiss his lips. "Whether you influenced me or not—I wanted to kiss you anyway."
Because, honestly? He looked way too tempting.
And in the literal sense, he tasted amazing. I liked it.
Finally, he wrapped his arms around my waist and flipped us over, pinning me beneath him.
I cupped his face. I pried his jaw open and stole his breath. Winston's eyes were red-rimmed. Sweat dripped from his forehead into the hollow of my neck.
He let my fangs pierce his tongue, the taste of blood spreading through our mouths. His words came out muffled, laced with grievance. "I'm the incubus here—so why are you more impatient than me..."
A: [Why'd it go black? How are we love sucker supposed to survive this?]
B: [Incubus and vampire dynamic—ohhh, they're gonna hate-f**k each other so hard. You bite me, I bite you, both desperate to swallow the other whole and claim them as their own. There's something insanely twisted about loving someone to the bone. I'm obsessed.]
