The drive.

Aden kept beating himself mentally, it was rare to find a woman with beauty and brain and here he was with one who just happen to fall right into his lap and he had messed it up even before meeting her. since it was going to be a long drive and the atmosphere in the car was enough to chill the drinks at the back seat, he decided to call a truce, he told Tega to forgive him for been a jerk who put her out of a job and that he'll like for them to start all over, she said ok even though she kept wondering why he would even care about her feelings since he barely knew her but the fact that he was willing to apologise for an offence he didn't commit intentionally, she decided to take his offer and with that they started over with proper introduction, Tega told Aden how she ended up as a graphic designer, she loves creating things from scratch and for every slogan she hears, she pictures something that sums it up in her mind, this made her create logos here and there and when her father decided to open a bed and breastfast, she was all too happy to create a logo for him, after which people around kept asking her to make one thing or the other and when she finished college and didn't get a Job in the white collar system she went for her passion and here she was. Aden admire her optimistic approach to life and she gained more respect in his eyes, he told her how he was raised by his mum alone and how she worked to feed, clothe and educate him, he vowed he would become successful, if only just to take care of her, and though it wasn't easy to catch a break, he finally did and things have never been better. they stopped at a gas station to fill up the car's fuel tank and while Aden filled the tank, Tega used the ladies room and got some snacks from the store there, sitting for long always has effect on the body so she decided to stretch her legs, she told Aden to pick her up along the road and she trekked for sometime before he finally parked beside her on the way, she hopped in and they continued their journey but now, they were both enjoying each others company that they started chatting like old friends. it was strange because they found out they had a lot in common.
