Chapter 2

While Sam laid the last of her belongings in her locker, a young girl with glasses walked up and asked, "Are you okay new girl, you seem pretty ruffed up by what Daisy said to you". Sam closed her locker door and held up a smile, "Oh that, well everything ended fine despite its start, and I'm still here standing, soooo it went well". she replied cheerfully. The girl looked at Sam up and down and said, "But still, it was hard to just stand and endure those words, not to mention experiencing that in front of an audience too". Sam placed her finger on her chin and replied, "Oh well, I am a strong girl, I can take a few names and such, and I already promised her that it will never...happen again". The girl let out a sigh, "Oh well -sighs- at least you are an optimist, any other girl that could have experienced that would havepacked up their stuff and drop out before the bell even rings”. Sam let out a wide smile and said, “Oh believe me… I’m not planning on leaving any time soon”. Hearing what Sam said, the girl raised an eyebrow but decided to let it go, “Now, since that is behind you, why don’t we have a proper introduction, my name's Katy, Katy Winters” she said and reached out her hand to greet Sam. Sam looked at the girl and then to her hand, reached out hers and shook it, “Samantha Myers…but you can call me Sam”.   After their introductions, the two girls finished putting their stuff in their lockers and began to walk together down the hall, on their way to their classes. During that time Katy spoke to Sam about it, “Oh, I forgot to ask, what class are you heading to?”. Katy looked at her phone, checking the schedule, and answered, “I’m heading toooo.... Mr. Thorn’s class first this morning”. “Oh, Math class, well good luck with that, algebra now is harder than what they are teaching to the Junior High, even made me wished that I was still back in 1st Grade fully grown”. Sam gazed at Katy and giggled with a cheerful face, told her, “Don’t worry about me, I had my fair share of numbers mixed with the alphabet, How bad can it be hehehe”.  Katy looked at Sam with a worried face, “You’re awfully cheery, even after bumping into Daisy”, Katy said. “Why wouldn’t I be, we made up and went our separate wa-“. Before finishing her sentence, Katy suddenly grabbed and pushed her into a room, shutting the door, “Hey!! What is th-“. Katy quickly placed her finger on her lips and told her to be quiet, she then slowly opened the door, revealing the girl Daisy, bullying another student. Sam took a peek and realize, “Ohhh, That’s why”. Katy hastily covered her mouth and pushed her head back into the room, “Be quiet or else she’ll hear us”, Katy exclaimed. Being clueless and confused, Sam asked “I already apologized to that girl, care to explain why you dragged me here?”. Katy facepalmed and sighs, then explained, “Last year, there was a new girl like you, pretty happy when she entered the school, but when she was going to her locker, she bumped into Daisy and being the narcissistic b***h, we know, berated and demanded an apology. The girl struggled to calm her down, but luckily she succeeded and apologized”. “Aaaand what does that have to do with us hiding here like creeps?” Sam asked. Katy continued to explain, “Because even after it was resolved, the girl slowly became more and more grim and sad throughout the month and ultimately transferred into another school, probably because the egotistical b***h didn’t leave her alone”. Hearing what she said, Sam crossed her arms and looked down, “Oh….” She muttered silently. Katy looked back at Daisy again and said “There was a reason why I came to you after Daisy left, I wanted to make sure it doesn't happen to you too. Sam let out a smirk and giggled like a little girl, “Awww thanks”. Katy looked back at Sam, letting out a blush of red on her cheeks, and replied, “Umm…don’t… mention it”, Katy quickly looked away, hiding her red blush on her face and focused on Daisy. Waiting for her to leave, Katy told Sam to not make a noise to alert her, but when Daisy seemed like she glanced towards the room, Katy carelessly backed away at the door, surprising Sam and made her take a step back, hitting a shelf, making all the contents to fall and cause noise, “What the hell?” Daisy Gasped, looking towards the room. Sam, hitting her head on a shelf, was shocked and apologized to Katy, But she quickly covered her mouth and told her that Daisy was coming, Walking like a wolf smelling her prey, slowly making her way to the door. Sam and Katy sweating profusely as they hear the footsteps become louder and louder, slowly become closer to the door. Daisy arrived at the entrance of the room, Sam and Katy waiting in silence, like birds trapped in a cage, Daisy reached out her hand, slowly reaching for the knob, gently opening the door, but then…..   She stopped….as the sound of the bell rings.
