Standing still in the hall of the school as they were stunned by the voice that echoed in it, all three of them stood still looking at the figure that spoke, Zane worried, Kevin furious, and Sam unfazed.
“What do you think you are doing, Kevin”.
Kevin lets go of Zane’s collar and put down his hands, facing towards the voice as he stood like a stone, refusing to step away.
“This…is none of your business….
Daisy”.
Daisy walked up to them with her group, going through all the students blocking their way and told them to scram, then she stood in front of Kevin,
“As much as I want to avoid you, I can’t let you touch Zane and this girl”.
“So what, you think that I am going to listen to you? Whatever I do, you stay out of it, and whatever you do, I stay out of it, we agreed on that Daisy, or do you really want to start another fight”, Kevin said furiously.
“And we both know that cannot happen Kevin, but still I can’t let you mess Zane and this girl, even if the president takes your side in this mess”,
Kevin let out an angry huff at Daisy, then took a glance at Zane and Sam, and decided to back down,
“Fine, just this once, and here I thought I finally found the love of my life”.
“The only love of your life is yourself, Kevin, you know that very well as I do”, Daisy said.
“Hmm fair point, but if you ever do this to me again Daisy, I swear I won’t back down without a fight”.
Kevin walked away from them, entering back to the gym, and went towards the cheerleaders and his crew. Sam slowly tilted her head towards Daisy, smiling as her eyes squinted then said to her,
“Took you long enough”.
Daisy immediately straighten her back and posture, then looked down at the floor,
“I..I’m sorry Miss Myers, it won’t happen again”.
Zane was stunned by confusion, looking at Daisy and wondered why she acted like that, then glanced at Sam, thinking to himself, “What the heck did you to her?”.
Daisy quickly ran towards Sam and went behind her, massaging her back as they stood,
“Do you need anything else, Miss Myers”, she said in a cute voice.
“You can leave us alone now Daisy, but I will still need you when something bothers me in school”.
“Yes, Miss, whatever you want Miss”, saying that as she went back to her group and ordered them to follow her, walking away from Zane and Sam.
Sam watched as Daisy and her group walk away,
“Now that we’re alone, why don’t w-“.
As Sam turned to face Zane, she saw him running away from her, waving goodbye as he runs,
“Sorry girl but I still have more things to do”.
Sam angrily shouted back at him, telling him to come back, but he was long gone, and as she finished screaming at him, Katy suddenly walked outside from the gym, holding a pair of cokes in her hand,
“Sam I got a drink for yo-“.
Katy looked at Sam, seeing her angered expression on her face, and the lack of students around them, being clueless as she raised both of her eyebrows, asks her,
“What… did I miss?”
Meanwhile
Zane arrived at his locker, opening it, and searched for the sketch. Minutes pass as he rummages through all his artwork and tools but ultimately found it, closing his locker door, then headed back to the art club room.
A few minutes pass and he arrived back at the room, placing the sketch on a stand by the left of his chair, he then sat down at the chair in front of the canvas, and as he held his paintbrush and palette, he looked at the sketch and closed his eyes,
Imagining the sketch as he turns it into life in his creative mind, the train full of people, talking, kissing, and bonding, and at the back of the train, a group of students chatting with each other, having a laugh as the train runs in its tracks, and as he daydreams the scene,
He then opened his eyes and started to paint, waving his paintbrush flawlessly to every corner of the canvas, embedding it with different colors and tones, and as time passes by as he paints, more ideas come to his mind, making it more beautiful by each brush.
After a few minutes, he finally finished, placing down his paintbrush and palette, then stood up and gazed upon the piece that he created, filling him with a sense of accomplishment as he looked at the painting, but as he glanced at the group of students in the piece, a distant memory entered his mind's eye, struggling to decide if it was a happy one or a memory that he regretted.
Zane’s heart told him to be sad as he reminisces in the dream of a memory, but he hesitated as he cleared his mind, not wanting to remember the happiness that it created and the sadness that it left, and so made his mind thought of nothing but a blank white space.
Zane then grabbed the snacks that he got from the cafeteria, opening them, and started to eat, and while he gobbled his snacks and sipped on his drink, he continued to think to himself about Sam,
“Who really is that girl? Her name is Samantha Myers as I remembered, but how can she turn Daisy into this some sort of guard or something? If she did something to her yesterday, then she was actually serious about that servant thing!! Oh…, what did I got myself into?”.
Zane continued to eat his snacks for a time, thinking about Sam and Daisy, but as he sat there on his chair, somebody opened the door, entering the room.
Zane turned around to see who it is, and as he looked at the face of the person, his face suddenly turned angry,
“What do you want now…
Kevin”.
