Chapter 6

1259 Words
Escorted by two students under Daisy’s thumb, Sam was forced to see a teacher, not knowing what they’ll do, she quietly went along with the students, not uttering a word to question their actions.   They strolled out of the canteen, and entered the halls, being placed in a situation for all the other students to see, but as they continued to walk,   They were confronted by another student, demanding to know why they are holding Sam, and as she looked up to gazed at the student, she saw the only friendly face she seen on the first day,   Katy Winters.   Katy vigorously blocked their way, demanding the students to let go of Sam, but as she continued to stand, the two students became furious and threatened her to step aside.   Katy, becoming disturbed by their meaningless threats, rolled up her sleeves, about to fight the two students, but before she even lifted her fist, Sam told her to stop and stay down, saying in a calm voice,   “Don’t worry about me Kate, everything will be fine, just…step away, please”.   Hearing those words, Katy’s rage stopped and hesitated the urge to beat them, nodding at Sam, and stepped aside for them.   The two students continued to walk, but before they left Katy’s sight, she gave them a warning,   “If you two even pluck a single hair out of her, I will beat both your asses until you can’t even sit anymore, do you understand me?”, she said in a serious tone.   The two students gave her an uncaring reply, saying that she cannot do anything, and if she continues to bother them, then she will also answer to Daisy.   As the two students and Sam arrived at the detention room, she encountered a few students that stood at the entrance, knowing nothing of why they were there, but as they entered the room and spoke to the teacher, it was clear.   The students gave false accusations, saying that Sam bullied and berated them without any reason, and after they were finished, the two students escorted Sam by hand inside the room,   “This is her Mam”, The two students said.   The teacher looked at Sam with loathing, questioning her why the school accepted a troublemaker like her, but she made her own answer, saying that Sam’s parents were out of options and that they begged this school to take her in because nowhere else will accept her.   The students demanded punishment, wanting to give her a long time of detention, or even suspension, and as they continued to yell and berate Sam, she just stood there silently, not saying a word to even the most painful insult.   The students continued to demand more punishments, the next one more severe than the last, but the teacher told them to be quiet, and ultimately gave Sam only a day of detention, since it was her first day.   The students were furious, saying that she deserves worse than that, but the teacher’s word was final and so Sam only got a day, and as the students left the room in anguish,   The teacher told Sam to contact her parents, saying that part of her punishment is letting her parents know that their pretty daughter is still the same disappointment as before.   As the teacher grinned and sat at her table, feeling the satisfaction of her decision, while Sam went to the nearest window in the room for a reception, calling a number that said   “Emergency call for Miss”, and while she waited for the person she called to pick up, she put down her phone on the window, looking outside…   and smiled wide.     Meanwhile   Zane was also forced to come with Daisy and her group, grabbing his arms and walked through the crowds of students in the halls, and as they head towards the principal’s office,   Daisy berated him, saying that since her father became basically the owner of the school, she can do whatever she wants without any restrictions, like an ignorant leader thinking of herself as above the law.   “You think that your father would let you do something drastic without letting him know”, Zane said.   Daisy directly replied to him, saying that her father is always out of town, making him too busy to be bothered by school affairs, and since no one else is closer to him in this school than her, she is one who will take charge of everything,   “This school is now mine, you won’t get away from me this time Mayton, in this place I rule, and if there is something that I am not pleased with, I will do everything in my power to destroy or remove it from the face of this school, even you… and your paintings, understand Mayton?”.   Zane held up an angered face, wanting to tear Daisy’s mouth and throw it to the dogs to feed, but at the mention of his paintings, he looked down and hesitated, his pride for his art preventing him to take any resistance and so he stayed quiet and went along, almost willingly.   Zane continued to walk with them until they arrive at the office, and as Daisy opened the door, announcing herself to the principal.   The principal stood up from his desk and greeted Daisy, asking her what business she has with him, and she answered in a cheery tone, saying that she wanted someone she hates….   Expelled.   The principal was shocked by what she said and asked her the reason why, she replied, saying that he ruined everything that she ever put into an effort for, her composure, her confidence, and…her makeup.   Hearing the reason for her hatred, the principal turned his back on Daisy, surprised and bewildered, said that her reason is completely unethical and meaningless and that he is not willing to expel the boy because of this.   Zane, hearing his answer, was relieved and thought that it was almost over, but Daisy persisted, like a brick wall unaffected by the drop of stone, she smiled and said to the principal,   “My father gave you a job, he gave you more money than you can ever earn in a principals salary, and yet here you are standing in front of his daughter like he didn’t even look at you, oh how he would react to see you deny MY requests”.   The principal angered by her manner, turned back around,   “You wouldn’t dare!!!”, The principal exclaimed.   Daisy, unhindered by his attitude, kept threatening him that if he wouldn’t expel Zane then she would go to her father and suggest another man for the position.   The principal still angered by Daisy, turned around and started to think.   Zane stood there sweating, like a man standing in court, waiting for the judge to either dub him innocent…   or guilty.   As they stood there in silence, while the principal was left alone in his thoughts, and as Zane hoped for him to make the right choice,   The principal turned back around to face them, looked at Zane, and stared,   He then closed his eyes and inhaled, opening them again and uttered simple words, but signaled his end,       “Sorry…Mr. Mayton”.
