The Lust Of Pride

Chapter 3

As the sound of the bell, rang across the halls of the school, Daisy stopped, backing away from the door, Sam and Katy breathed out a sigh of relief, and stepped out of the room with joy, 

“Thank god that it's over!!”, Katy exclaimed. 

Sam breathing heavily, touched her hair, showing a face of disgust and loathing, thought to herself, 

“My….fucking…hair…is RUINED!!”. 

Katy glanced at her and asks if she was ok, Sam mustered a smile, and replied with a cheery but low voice, 

“Oh I’m fine, I just hit my head a little, don’t worry about it”. 

Katy looked at her, seeing her expression, she now knew the true meaning, and slowly went behind her, fixing her hair, 

“Your not very good at making up faces huh? Here let me help”, Katy said. 

Sam, surprised and confused, laid down her hands on her knees, letting Katy fix her hair, while a blush of pink appeared on her cheeks,

“Umm…Thanks..”, she replied silently. 

Katy looked at her and smiled, “Don’t mention it, hehehe”. 

While fixing Sam’s hair, Katy spoke to her about Daisy, “Hopefully we won’t be seeing Daisy again for the rest of the day.”. 

“What makes you say that”, Sam asked. 

Katy stopped for a moment to think, then continued to fix her hair, explaining, 

“Because she doesn’t attend any classes, except gym class, her father is supposedly the main investor of the school, that’s why we won't be seeing her…., and also...why she’s a b***h”. 

Sam went into her thoughts, then asked Katy a question, 

“Say, Kate, if you know a lot about Daisy, what kind of job is her father in?”. 

Katy went deep into her memory, and answered, “Well, when I looked at her posts on social media, her father seemed to be working for a company of some sorts, with different buildings and brand products scattered around her photos”. 

Hearing what Katy said, Sam went silent to think, and after a few moments, she asked Katy another question, 

“Do you know the name of the company?”.

Katy once again went inside her thoughts, and finally gave Sam an answer, “Hmmm, I don’t know for sure but the name TribuLain  kept popping at the background”, 

“Interesting…”, 

Sam went silent, moving her eyes to gaze down, and grinned like a little girl, then thought to herself, 

“Very…interesting..”.

After both girls finished cleaning themselves up, they continued to walk towards their classes,

 “I'll see you at lunch when I get the chance” Katy said while waving goodbye to Sam, 

Sam smiled and waved back at her, then entered the classroom like a queen walking towards her throne, sitting elegantly as the rest of the students passed by, admiring her beauty and demeanor. 

As the rest of the class entered the room, Mr. Thorn, the teacher, began announcing himself to them, 

“Good morning everyone, My name is Mr. Craig Thorn, and I will be the one teaching your math class this year, but before we start the hard part, we will begin the easy part first, which is introductions. We have a new student joining us today and we must do our utmost best to welcome her to our school, Ms. Myers, why don’t you introduce yourself to the class”.  

Hearing Mr. Thorn, Sam composing herself, stood up like a pretty bird about to sing, waving her hair as she stands, and let out a pretty smile on her face, battering her eyelashes to the class, then finally opened her mouth, and said,

 “Good morning everyone, my name i-“.

Before she finished, a young boy suddenly interrupted her, entering the room with haste, breathing heavily while sweating, trying to compose himself, then said a few words, 

“Sorry, I’m late!!!”.

But while the boy was announcing himself, Sam, standing in the middle of the room, interrupted and hindered, quietly stood as she clenched her fist, enraged and annoyed, glanced at the exhausted boy with wide eyes, thinking to herself,

“How….Dare…YOU!!!”.
