16.Ulric

John and his friends found out most of the information about the planet and informed them to Steve. Now they saw a fog covered place. They wanted to see what's happening there. So they went inside. Through the fog they are passing… They heard the blasting and cracking sounds. They are terrified. What's that? But they have to examine that. So they stopped for a while to overcome the fear. They build up the courage.
They started to move forward. There is a big volcano in front of them. The sounds are coming from the volcano. All the small insects and small creatures started to run away from the volcano while some insects are flying away from the volcano and some different organisms show some special mechanisms like they are covering themselves with a secretion which is getting hard immediately like they are forming cyst around them and some are burrowing the soil and covering them. Soon they came to realise that it is going to blast.
They started to run away from the volcano. Soon the lava from the volcano started to erupt. As the gravity is high they can't run fast enough to escape. So they are finding alternate ways to escape. Unlike the normal lava, this lava is blue in colour with different elements and chemical reactions present. The lava is very cool, maybe to thousands of negative degrees. All the creatures which can't escape the lava started to solidify and die in seconds. They understood that if any part touches the lava it becomes irreversibly solidified and cut off from the body.
They are trying to run faster but they can't. While searching for escapes they came to an idea to climb the trees. They started to climb the biggest tree in sight of them and grab it very firmly. The blue lava is coming near. They literally feel the death in front of them. All the insects and creatures which can't escape the lava are solidifying and dying on the spot.
The lava touched the trees they climbed. They stopped for a while but not strong enough to stand erect. The trees began to c***k the places where the lava had touched. The trees are breaking down. They started to fall down. They are trembling with fear. It fell down and they jumped from the tree before falling and luckily they didn't touch the lava. They are running and lava is hunting them. They build up the entire energy in them and run as fast as they can.
In sight they found another largest tree in the middle of the forest in front of them. It is very giant and seems to be the very oldest tree they've seen up to now on the planet. It is very strong enough to stand the lava. They started to climb the tree and grabbed it very hard as if the fingers were about to break if pushed harder. The lava is coming down very fast. It touched the bark of the tree. They were terrified and doubted as if this could withstand that lava or not.
As of their belief the tree stands erect even in that condition very easily. They are shocked by its energy. They weren't even able to c***k the bark of the tree. After a while the lava flow has stopped and solidified. They are preparing to climb down off the tree while building up their courage. They set foot on the solidified lava. They started to see the surroundings. All the trees fell down and died because of the catastrophe except this tree.
It is standing like nothing happened. They've thanked the tree in heart for saving their lives and started to think what's so special about this tree. Why is it so strong compared to others? Due to lava their testing equipment is destroyed. They've returned to the capsule to retrieve the backup equipment. They brought it up to the tree and started to test the tree. It is humongous. The results are amazing. It's abnormal. Any living creature known can't produce such results.
As the energy coming from the tree is very high. The equipment is short circuited. They are shocked to core. What's happening with this tree? They are searching in this soil for any abnormalities and which is giving them so much power. Through the scanning they've found a small source under the tree which is emitting power pulses. They've started to dig the tree down. They've tried very hard to dig out the source. At last they've reached it. It is a red coloured round stone with translucent texture.
All are seeing it dropping Jaws like a wonder. John has taken a dare step to touch it. . By grabbing it, involuntarily he pronounced the name "ULRIC" and it was twinkling. By touching it, it is glowing very brightly which is visible to only John and the waves started to change his mind that it belongs to him. It is convincing him to take it with him and own it. It is controlling him. John is now under its control. John is turning possessive about it. Others started to talk that we should inform them that they've found a new element. John has stopped them from communicating.
He asked them to hide the information. It belonged to him. They denied it. He started to act crazy and slowly started to raise his voice. They are in denial and trying to communicate. John attacked them and started to hurt them. They are trying to save themselves and fight back. But they are not able to control him. He is so much more powerful than normal.
They started to wonder about his power. It's because of the ulric in his hand. After a quiet beat up, they agreed to hide the information to save them. They've informed about the volcano eruption and managed to save themselves and hid the information about Ulric to Steve. After the four months expedition on the planet which is 6 months on the earth calculating the time dilation, they started to return back to earth…
