13.Launching

        Steve has met with an accident and can't go to space for the expedition. So he asked John and his friends to go there while he directs from the station. John thought that it's a very good opportunity for him and history will remember him as the first person to cross a galaxy, travel through a wormhole and set the first step on the planet. He has very much belief in Steve's knowledge that will save them from any kind of circumstances. So he agreed to it. 

        Jake and James also agreed for it. In this way John has become the leader of the expedition and the preparations for the launch is continuing. Everyone is ready for the launch and the launching day has arrived. Everyone is super excited with a bit of tension too. All the crew arrived for final inspection. The inspection has gone very well and no noticeable flaws are present. So they gave their clearance. The weather has been a bit cloudy before but by the time of launching it clouds were gone and it became sunny. It doesn't become a problem.

         All the works related to the launch are going very smoothly and perfectly. The capsule is placed over the launch pad inclined 45° to the sky. The crew team has been inspecting it. The voyagers have arrived at the spot in their space suits. All their colleagues are busy in the launch program. Finally Steve has arrived on his fly chair.  The chair flies in the air and Steve can control it with his hand. He flew to each of the crew and talked about the situation and conditions of the capsule and cheered them up. In this way Steve is motivating every crew member of the launch.

         Finally he came near his friends and started to talk with them (chuckling with hidden tension). John, how are you feeling? Everything's ok for launch? John said everything's ok Steve, just a bit nervous. We can manage. He looked towards Jake and James and said, you are the most important part of this world expedition. 

        So be attentive and obey the order of John. The success of this expedition relies on your team work. So be serious and be confident. I'll be there for you always. I will take care of you and John and solve the problems before even you notice. So just be patient and attentive. Just do your work. John and I  will do the rest. They smiled with a nervous face and said, OK Steve. We will be attentive and make this expedition successful. 

        Steve smiled at them and wished all his voyagers good luck and entered the Bay leading to the control room. He has settled before the monitors and checked everything. Voyagers started to walk towards the capsule and they started to enter it. First John entered and then the remaining two. Voyagers entered the capsule and it is ready to launch…now Steve is talking to them in a microphone. He first asked John, John, come in, over, are you hearing me? Is this clear? Over.

         John responded, yes Steve, we are hearing you. Over. Soon Steve started to talk, Launching capsule to travel WASP-2389 BLG-5487. Voyagers….. Are all systems functional? John started to check all the systems and pressing the buttons and switching the buttons. John's speaking in the microphone, 

Checking all systems……. 

Engines……. Check

Fuel………. Check

Ignition…….. Check

Clear sir, everything's fine

Steve started to talk, and its hearing in speakers, 

T minus 90 seconds to launch and counting…. All systems go….. 

        All systems are adjusting themselves for the launching. Steve continued to talk, T minus 60 seconds and counting. Auto sequence starts…….. 

         John's speaking from the capsule, All critical systems functional….. Auto sequence starting……. Steve's talking, 

        T minus 20 seconds and counting…… Ignition on…… John started the ignition and said ignition started…… All are filled with tension. No smile on anyone's face. Ignition of the capsule started…… Steve started to count down… 

        T minus 9 seconds…….. 8….7….6….5….4...3….2….1…..0…. launch started…… All the holders holding the capsule left the capsule and slowly the ignition started. Capsule ignited and in no time it had lost its sight. Escaping the atmosphere with 10 miles per second…  Steve started to talk again, Capsules lifted off successfully travelling through the atmosphere…. T plus 20 seconds, still under control…..  

        John's speaking over the microphone, All systems functional. Negative malfunction…. Steve's speaking, T plus 40 seconds…. Preparing to leave the atmosphere….. The capsule has Left the atmosphere successfully and entered space. Everybody in the control room cheered and applauded Steve. Steve stopped them and said, Capsule left the atmosphere in T plus 47 seconds, on its way to leave the solar system…. 

        John on microphone said, Ok sir, artificial gravity sequence activated. Now we are travelling with maximum speed to escape our solar system…… Steve ordered them to turn into autopilot mode, John said, OK, prepare now for the autopilot mode….OK, autopilot system activated…..They are travelling and until now there is no problem. It took them a while to leave the solar system and travelled nearly a month without any obstacles on their voyage…..

         After a month of their travel they have got fully charged to open a portal to the wormhole…… They've tried to open the portal which makes them travel 0.2 light years in 2 months to reach the wormhole… John said, Sir, there is an empty vacuum here without any planets, meteoroids etc. And as we are fully charged, I think it's the right time to open the portal…..

         Steve saw the conditions and readings on the screen and said, yes, it's time, Ready now, voyagers. It's the correct time to open the portal, prepare to enter…. John said, yes sir……  Steve waited for some time and said, now!!! Then John started to activate the portal. Then all the   nuclear fissions and fusions in the reactor are increased to nearly uncontrollable extent which creates a huge amount of energy. 

        That energy along with stored fission energy is transferred to the tip of CAPSULE and leads to charging. After reaching maximum they switched the system from storage to emit the energy. It projected like a Ray in front and at the end of the Ray the portal to the wormhole had opened. As it requires much energy to open a portal it will open for only milliseconds to enter. 

        The capsule managed to enter successfully. They approached the other side of the portal in 2 months and only a few days remaining to reach the wormhole and travelling 

After a few days… 

They've finally reached the wormhole….
