Stanley looked sharply at Lilly with a hint of dissatisfaction in his eyes.
"What do you want me to do? Leave Maisy with you?" Lilly thought to herself.
"Leave Maisy with me."
"Huh?"
Lilly caught sight of Maisy's excited face and the corners of her mouth twitched as she thought, "Had she raised this little girl for nothing all these years?"
"Mommy, I won't abandon you. You will always be my beautiful mommy."
Perceptive little Maisy suddenly smiled and kissed Lilly. She gently put her arms around her mother's neck and whispered, "Mommy, Aunt Melissa has a boyfriend now. I'll definitely disturb Aunt Melissa if I go there. It's better that I stay with Daddy."
Lilly felt that what her daughter said made sense, so all she could do was tactfully say: "Thank you... Stanley."
