The loud buzzing came on and Carlos hurriedly closed his ears , he had gotten a gunshot on his ear a while back , a gift of his street shooting days . He considered it mild because he knew what he had done to other people. His eardrum had been partially blown and the doctor had told him that it was a surprise that he could still hear . He had totally forgotten but loud noises like this usually reminded him of his condition .
