“You’ll get her home?” Jerri’s sister asked me as she walked with us to the lobby. Jerry and her sister were both about the same size with dark hair, although the sister’s was quite a bit longer. “I’ll be fine, sis,” Jerri said before I could respond. “All right. Should I expect you anytime soon?” Jerri looked at me. “I’ll call,” she told her sister. The sister looked at me. “Be careful,” she said. Jerri laughed as if it were the funniest thing she’d heard. “I’ll take care of her,” she said. Sister gave me a strange look but I couldn’t tell what she was thinking. She rolled her eyes. Jerri and her sister kissed goodbye, and then Jerri turned back to me. “Do you live near here?” she asked. “Just about fifteen minutes at this time of night,” I told her. “Then, let’s go,” she smiled
