Sarah Gabriel looked like he didn't know if lunging for Damian's throat or pull her into a hug. The former  was the simplest option, seeing as Sarah was sitting at the window and Damian was next to her. She didn't need to ask what had happened. Diving into Anabelle's memories was as easy now as dipping a toe in a pool. She could have guessed the content of the conversation by the changes of expression on Gabriel's face. His urge to punch he could understand. The discovery of this particular part of their plan had shook her to her core as well, but her basic reactions had become diluted. It hadn't happened because there was twice as much conscience than usual in her body but, rather, because all her first impressions were immediately tempered by Anabelle's own feelings and reasoning.  I
