Chapter 4It was becoming a common occurrence for Doug to wake up covered with sweat, having soaked his sheets. These dreams were becoming frequent and very intense. It was five in the morning. It wasn’t quite light outside yet, but the birds were singing, and a dog across the retention pond was barking. He knew he wasn’t going to be able to go back to sleep, but there was no earthly reason to get up at such an absurd hour either. The joys of getting older, he thought.
