Doctor's P.O.V
I could not help myself but fall to the floor with tears running down my face. I had just left my beloved Rose. I would never admit it, but she is the only woman I have loved since my wife died on Gallifrey. She had worked her way into my heart, and now she was as good as dead to this world. She still had part of the time vortex running through her lovely body. She wanted to see the stars and explore every single planet she could. She was not done travelling in the T.A.R.D.I.S. she was so far from done, but unfortunately, she had to be. All she wanted was to be standing here with me for the rest of her time.
I don't know how long I sat there, on the floor in the control room, crying while thinking of her. After what felt like a year and a half I stood up and set the T.A.R.D.I.S. on route for London 2004. I had to see her again, just for a minute or two, to remind myself, that she would always be in reaching distance, if just I travel to the right moment in time, and was lucky enough to find her.
After collecting my thoughts I went outside, tears were still slowly dripping down my face as I went to look for a certain Rose Tyler who, at this moment in time, would have no idea of all the fun adventures and all the sadness she would have to endure over the next years of her lifetime, all of it, because of me.
I began walking towards her neighbourhood, seeing a couple of familiar faces. I sat myself down on a dirty metal bench, just outside of the apartment building where Rose and Jackie's flat is located. I still had not decided on what to do next, I couldn't just walk up to their flat and demand to see her, but waiting outside for Rose to walk past me, did not seem like a great option either. Fortunately, I didn't have to figure that out, for at that moment a dark-skinned man walked past me, and I could not stop myself from calling out to him.
"Oy, Mickey!"
Mickey turned around and looked at me weirdly like he was trying to figure out who I was. I had to remind myself that he did not actually know that yet.
"I'm sorry, but who are you mister?" confusion lingering in his eyes
"I'm... Hello I'm John Smith, I was wondering if you know where I could possibly find a blond girl called Rose Tyler, I believe, I've found her wallet on the ground just 'round the corner, and wanted to return it"
"I'll go get her, but, I'm sorry, have we met before? You know my name"
I messed up, s**t.
"Did I? I don't think so, I just yelled out at random to catch your attention."
While Mickey went and got Rose I slipped around the corner. I did not want her to see me, I just needed to see her alive and breathing at a reasonable distance from me. I firstly did not have her wallet, and secondly, I don't think I would be able to control myself around her at the moment.
It did not take long before Mickey and Rose returned from the flat, both looking confused when they could not find the man who claimed to have her wallet, even though her's was not missing.
Little did they know that I was standing around the corner, watching her with adoration and need.
It was at this moment that I decided that I needed to find a way to get my Rose back, no matter the consequences.
