Olivia pushed her cart forward, pretending to peruse the vegetables, but her mind was working a mile a minute. The mirrors by the checkout—she could use them. She could create an illusion of herself, trick him into thinking she was still in the aisle while she slipped away. She turned a corner, disappearing from his line of sight, and instantly her powers surged to life. She pulled the image of herself into the mirrors, making herself appear in several places at once.
