"Screaming words that I should probably whisper/Terrified the light above might flicker" - Silhouette, Jacob Lee "Who's there?" - I screamed. I'd had enough. I jumped out of my bed and ran towards the balcony beside. But no one was there, and I knew I wouldn't find anyone; not because anyone wasn't there, but because I thought if I'd scream, whoever was there would go away. I was angry and wasn't thinking straight. But when I came back to my bed, my spine shivered with the thought of someone being there at all. I thought for a second that I was going crazy. This made no sense anymore. I was trembling, sweating, my teeth started tingling. I was still panting when my phone beeped - "1 New Message" I threw the phone on bed and got up. I needed some air and didn't want to stay inside anymore. The air around me became heavy and I felt everything was spinning in my stomach. I went to bathroom feeling nauseous, but it flashed in front my eyes. Last week, the bathtub, the water, same cold breath near my neck, someone calling out my name. I could take no more, I just wanted to run. This place was engulfing me, the dark hollowness was consuming me. Tingling in my teeth spread all over my jaws and ears. I came out of bathroom stumbling, grabbed my phone and and stormed out of my apartment with keys and jacket. I managed somehow to lock my door and turned around; just then the lights coming out from my neighbor's door slit turned off. For a moment I thought I'd knock up on their door for help; but I stopped, thinking I never met them, I didn't know who they were and if they'd be ready to help me at all. I came out my apartment building and looked up at the sky. The raindrops pierced my face, I looked back up at my window. The glass on it resisted the darkness to jump after me and reflected the city-lights. The sliding door on my balcony beside the window was still open. The wind was touching the curtains making it wave. I couldn't look up that high for long, so I looked away. I had already started walking randomly when I saw someone moving away from the window glass beside mine.
