Perfect Mistake

Second Doctors visit

After we leave Leo’s parents house we head back to the house.

“ I won’t see you till Saturday sweetheart. I’ll text you when I’ve arrive back home.”

“ Don’t forget we have a doctors appointment on Sunday at 9:30am with Kate. And text me when you’ve landed safely at the game if you can.”

Leo gets to my side of the car door and helps me out of his car. Once I’m standing outside of the car Leo wraps me up into a bear hug. I’m standing on my tippy toes while Leo’s face is buried in the side of my neck.

“ call me if you need anything.”

“ you won’t even be here if I need something.”

“ true but my sister’s are eighteen and they have their licenses so they can start preparing to be aunts now. Plus they are already excited about the babies.”

“ I will be fine Leo.”

We unwrap from the bear hug and kiss each other goodbye. He hops back in his car and I walk to the front door and wave to him goodbye.

When I walk into the foyer I don’t hear anything. So I go searching for the girls. I’ve checked their rooms and none of them are their. After yelling their names throughout the house I walk past the movie room and I hear noise. When I walk in the home movie theater I see all the girls watching the breakfast club.

“Guys I’m back” I yell

They all turn their heads to where I’m standing and Alex presses pause on the movie.

“ how was your date?” Kate asked

“ the date was great but what happened afterwards was a disaster.”

“ what happened after the date?” Lily asked

So I explain everything that happened with Leo’s mom and how bad everything went. I also explained what Leo said to his mom and how he took my side against his mother.

“ What a b***h” Alex said

“ Good for Leo for standing up for you. I am actually starting to like him.” Lily says

“ At least his sisters like you.” Kate said

“ I just want to forget that all that happened.”

“ come finish watching the movie with us.” Lily said

I got on the movie couch and curled up against Kate as we finished watching the movie. The rest of the evening was spent watching movies and eating junk food. Eventually we all fell asleep.

When I woke up the next morning I saw I had a text message from Leo that said morning sweetheart. How are you and the babies feeling today?

That’s how the whole week started off. With Leo and his morning text messages. I thought that was really nice of him. While he was gone I realized two things. First thing is I miss Leo and the second thing is how much Leo has changed from the first time I meet him.

Today Leo gets back from his away game. The team won their game so I’m headed to meet him outside our college football locker room since that’s were the team is taken after they leave the airport.

“ you ready Noa.” Kate asked

“ yep. Let’s go.”

It’s the begging of October so I’m wearing black leggings with a stomach fitting black shirt that says mama got bump with a stripped crochet cardigan and my pink sparkly UGGs. Kate is wearing her black sparkly UGGs with a football sweatshirt on and skinny ripped jeans.

When we arrive at the football stadium the boys are getting off the bus. Tyson gets off the bus and embraces Kate in a hug. More football players get off but still no Leo. A few seconds later I see Leo getting off the bus talking to the coach about something. When they get done talking Leo heads for me and picks me up. I wrap my legs around his hips and bury my head in the side of his neck.

“I missed you sweetheart.”

“ I missed you too.” I say but it comes out muffled from my head being buried in his neck.

After he puts me down I stand on my tiptoes and kiss him. When we stop kissing I hear a few of the boys whistle which causes me to laugh. When I turn around to talk to Kate I notice that she and Tyson are already gone.

“ Bradford who’s the lady.” His coach asks

The whole team is now gathering around us making a circle with us and the coach in the middle.

“ This is my girlfriend Noa.”

“ Hi. Nice to meet you.” I say awkwardly while shaking the coach’s hand.

“ well I just read your shirt and notice the baby bump so I guess a congratulations is in order.”

When the coach says something about my stomach and my shirt that causes the team to start staring at my stomach which makes me uncomfortable.

“ Thank you coach. We are both happy and excited to be having twins.”

“ oh your having twins that’s a lot to handle.”

“ yeah my mom is a twin and so are my sisters.”

“ well good game Bradford and nice meeting you Noa.”

With that Leo and I head to his car when one of his team mates stop us.

“ So you got the virgin pregnant.”

“ Shut up Jamie.” Leo says

With that we get in the car and drive off to my house.

“ So I’m your girlfriend. Don’t you think you should ask me first.” I laughed

“ it’s better than just saying baby mama.”

“ true.”

“Come on let’s get you inside we got a big day tomorrow.”

Leo helps guide me through the house. Once we make it to my room we both strip and I fall asleep with my back against Leo’s chest and his hand resting on my stomach.

“ wake up a Noa it’s eight o’clock.”

“ No.” I say and cover my head with my pillows.

“ come on sweetheart it’s a happy day we get to see the babies.”

I immediately jump out of the bed and head toward the shower. When I get out the shower I put on my grey joggers my Nike sports bra and my grey zip up jacket that matches my joggers. I put on my white Nike shoes and throw my hair in a sideways ponytail and head downstairs.

When I get downstairs I walk to the kitchen to see everybody up.

“ so who is all going to doctors appointment?”

“ Alex and I want to but we both have exams we are studying for.”

“ Is your mom meeting us at the doctors office?” Leo asked

“ Yeah my mom and Kate’s mom are meeting us up there.”

When we get done eating our breakfast we get into two separate cars and head to the doctors. When we get to the doctors office Tyson and Leo find seats with our moms while Kate and I go to the receptionist and give our names.

Ten minutes later our names are called we get our weight and blood pressure checked . When we get to the ultrasound room they’re two brown leather couches sitting side By side in-front of the flat screen then there is the examination bed and right beside that is a chair.

“ Dr. Hill will be right in with you?”

“ I’m so excited to see my grandkids for the first time. Are you excited Leo ?” My mom ask

“ I feel that once I see them it will all become so real. Like I know that she’s pregnant but I don’t really feel like a dad yet. I don’t know if that makes any sense.”

“ yes it does Leo.”

“ what about you Tyson how do you feel?” Kate’s mom ask

“ I don’t know a little bit of everything excited, nervous, happy just so many emotions.”

There was A soft knock heard at the door and in walks Dr.Hill

“ Hi ladies. Who did my bring with you today.

“ I brought my mom Alice and the father of my baby Tyson.”

“ I brought my mom Eryn and the twins dad Leo.”

“ well it’s nice to meet you all. My name is doctor Hill and I will be Noa and Kate’s Ob for the rest of their pregnancy. Last time we started off with Kate so this time will start with Noa then Kate. When we are done with the ultrasound I will have both of you urine in cup so i can check your protein, kidney, any sign of preeclampsia and more. So Noa if you can please lay down on the examination table and Leo you can sit in the chair beside her and watch from my screen.”

As I was getting ready to see my babies again I was getting happy yet nervous. I just want everything to be okay with them.

“ okay Noa just like last time this will feel a little cold.”

She puts the gel on my stomach and a few seconds later my babies pop up on the screen.

“ baby a and baby b are measuring at a good size. Now let’s hear the heartbeat.”

When the twins heartbeat fell the room I feel Leo’s hand squeeze mine. I take my eyes off the screen to see Leo’s eyes filled with unshaded tears.

“ Are their heartbeats okay. It sounds really fast.” Said Leo

“ your babies are doing very well and are healthy. As for the heartbeat it is normal that their heartbeat are beat fast. Alright let me print out pictures of Noa’s ultrasound and I will be ready for Kate.”

After Kate gets her ultrasound done. Doctor Hill asks Tyson and Leo questions about their health history and their families health history.Leo did tell Dr.Hill that Jose twin sisters were born a month early which has me worried a little bit. But other than that doctor said everything is going good and that she will see us next month.

“ I’m so excited. This will be my first grandchild that I get to spoil.” Kate’s mom said

“ I know their dads are going to be worse than us. Well Alice and I are headed home. Let us know if you need anything.” My mom and Alice get into my moms Jeep and drive away.

“ we’re getting something to eat y’all coming?” Tyson asked

I was about to say yes when Leo said “ no we have a few things we need to get done. So we will see y’all back at the house.”

Kate and Tyson drive away which leaves me and Leo sitting in his car inferior of the doctors office.

“ what do we need to do?”

“ just wait and see.” And with that Leo takes off down the road.
