Chapter 6: Family

“Can you take me home?” She asked. “This is home” I said smiling confidently. “Seriously Jay I have to take my clothes and Ty's, I'm scared Rachel is there” she asked getting up from our cuddled spot. “Sure, my love” I said getting up too.

When we got into Tina’s house and immediately, she hurried to where I assumed was Ty’s room and packed his clothes into two duffel bags. I tried helping her but it seemed like she had it under control but I could see she was afraid. “Are you okay?” I asked concerned.

“I knew you'd come back b***h!” I heard Rachel say.

“We just came to get some clothes, not to make trouble Rachel” Tina said angrily.

“You've found yourself a better b***h huh?” Rachel asked walking closer to the door.

She ran and grabbed Tina's hand. She was quick in her move but I was quicker, Not with my woman. I kicked her in the stomach and started beating her face while she was down. I could have killed her if I didn’t hear Tina scream “Baby please don’t kill her” Tina said holding my hand, I looked at her angrily. I aggressively jerked my hand from her grip and pounded on Rachel. Tina pulled me away from her but again I slipped from her grip and held Rachel with her shirt

“If you want to leave this place alive, it’s best that you leave me and my girlfriend alone understood???” I said still holding her shirt.

"UNDERSTOOD!!!” she said through gritted teeth and she nodded. Tina ran up to go pack her clothes and Tyrone's. We left and locked the door, throwing Rachel out of the house.

I was surprised at how brave I was becoming, but then I realised it wasn't about bravery but I was willing to fight for love.

Dinner date

When Catherine got home with the children, the boys changed into similar outfits. Darren had on his black and white foot locker shirt; black skinnies; black snapback and his black and white Jordan’s. Children his age don’t fancy clothes or really worry about how they look but Darren can’t keep his eyes off of himself. He stood at the mirror from the time he finished getting dressed to before we left the house. Ty on the other hand cares less about how clothes fit on him or whatnot, he had on a white shirt, black skinnies, white snapback and white and black Supras. I clearly dressed the boys, I must say it gives me pride to dress them. That said I decided to dress similarly. I had on Black knee-high shorts, a white shirt, white socks and black Palladium boots. We all came down to see the girls and they both looked Hella cute in their tank tops and skinnies. I couldn’t stop staring at Tina’s high-waisted jean that hugged her lower body so beautifully.

Evrrything had seemed to have fallen into place.

“Aw look at you guys” Catherine said smiling while taking pictures of us.

We got in the Jeep and I pulled off at a classy Italian restaurant. I held the boy’s hands as Tina held Jody’s. When we got in the restaurant a waitress approached us.

“Hi, Reservation for Williams” I requested and the kind lady she took us to our table.

“I'll be your waitress for today” she said putting our menus on the table.

We ordered and started eating after a few minutes of waiting for the food. The boys were quiet eating their dinner and I looked at Tina and I gave her the sign and she shook her head. I gave her the 'You must tell them look' and I cleared my throat as I put my fork and knife down.

“Okay so listen up kids, as you can see me and Tina have been living together for a few days now and I know you’ve been asking questions” I was cut off

“Please tell me Ty is my new brother mom. He is the coolest!! I want a brother” Darren pleaded

“Mom said Tina and her are friends Darren! not wife and wife" Jody explained. For her age I was getting worried and how fierce and smart she was getting at such a young age, she is turning 5 very soon but boy is she a smart mouth.

“Well that's about to change kids, Ty and Tina are officially moving in with us and me and Tina are a couple now” I announced, feeling sceptical.

“Yes!!!” I heard the two boys both say and Jody smiled.

“Alright kids finish up your food. It’s getting late, you have school tomorrow” Christina said

I looked at her and she was smiling and kept looking at our family.
