I wake up at my cousin's house, everyone gone just Lee and Kai. I took the decision to sleep earlier than I anticipated because tomorrow is a day I can’t f**k up.
“Get up Suckers!! I'm getting Married today” I said hitting each of them with a pillow. Bright and early I was up quietly fixing a drink for myself.
“We need to get ready; its already 08:30” Lee said to Kai. He was slowly removing the sheeta from his body. “You slept early! On your own Bachelorettes party! That sounds like a Lee thing to do. I am highly disappointed young lady” Kai said. “What time does the Wedding start again” she asked. “Ten o’clock and in a few hours, you'll be officially taken” Lee said getting up sounding dissapointed. I could always tell when Kai is unhappy about something.
“I can't wait” I stressed.
I said. I had 30 minutes left till the matrimony. I was draped in a three-piece white Tuxedo, white leather converse; I neatly tied my hair in a low bun. I looked gorgeous.
My mom walked in dropping off Ty and Darren. My boys were charming with their white Tuxedo’s crisp and cut clean.
“My boys!" I said checking their outfits with pride. I knew I was welcomed to their squad when they taught me the special handshake greeting they do.
“Getting married to the love of my life boys” I said while Lee and Kai chuckled behind. “Don't hate!” Ty said leaving us to all die in laugher.
“Ayt go to the living room and let me finish getting ready” I asked them. It was very important to get Ty’s approval although he is young, he needs to feel included in this ordeal. Her mother took an abrupt decision to remove them from where they lived and what they were accustomed too.
“You nervous?” Lee asked sitting near the bed. “Hell yeah!” I replied. “You love her! don't be scared.” she said patting my shoulder as I sighed. You can choose who you love but you can’t decide how long they are going to love you; which is the scariest part about marriage. Christina might wake up and regret ever accepting my proposal but that is not my fault.
The hour arrived and all routes led to the church. My entourage was dressed in black tuxeso with white bow ties.
Everyone was seated and I was patiently waiting at the alter alongside my best friends who were beautifully dressed. My mom walked towards me and kissed my cheek.
“I love you and no matter how old you are, you will always be my little angel. Treat this young lady with respect like I thought you” my mom said. I was close to tears but I held back. “Thank you, mom, I love you too” I smiled hugging her and she walked away.
After 10 minutes of nervously waiting I saw Tina's Bridesmaids walking in dressed in Blue and white dresses.
There was silence as I saw Tina at the door with her older brother beside her.
She moved gracefully with her hair styled in a fishtail pony. The mermaid dress she had on tightly hugged her body showing all her curves. I was mesmerized couldn't stop staring as my eyes didn't for a second leave her every move. I cried as she kept getting closer to me.
She got to the top and I held her hands. I had a few words to say to her and so did she, but I began;
“Christina Foster, my peanut butter and jelly sandwich, I am in love with your scent, presence, eyes, body, heart and I am consumed by you. Woman you drive me insane, I couldn’t imagine tackling this cruel world without you. Just you and I; like Bonnie and Bonnie. As a matter of fact, let’s go rob the bank” I said and everyone laughed. “I don’t ever want to be apart from you. I love you so much I want to marry you and make you mine forever. You are amazing and so special to me I love you Christina Foster” I finished off.
I shed a tear and so did she.
“Jasmine Wilson, you are the most supportive loving and giving human I've ever comes across, you complete me. I thank God every day that I have you in my life. Through all I've been through you've been there, my protector, my companion, My soul mate. I love you so much and want to be with you for the rest of my life” she stumbled the last few words out as my eyes filled with tears
“I Christina Foster, Take Jasmine Wilson to be my lawfully wedded wife to love and to hold for better or for worse in sickness and in health” I repeated.
“I Jasmine Wilson, take Christina Foster to be my lawfully wedded wife to love and to hold for better or for worse in sickness and in health”
“I do” “I do”. Jody was the ring barrier she brought in the rings and I put one on Tina's finger as she did the same on mine.
I now pronounce you wife and wife you may kiss your bride. I held my woman’s waist and kissed her passionately. Her face was perfect.
We drove to the reception which was all white with Blue drippings and white and blue flowers. We had a few speakers who came but it wasn't a huge wedding, just 100 people, my mom and Tina's mom stood up and said a few words. My father didn't show up, but I wasn’t bothered. I was pulled to the dance floor.
Christina Wilson.
