Cyrus woke up early. The fight with Katya was still whirling around in his brain. He decided to dress and take a walk out on the West Pier. He walked inside the Victorian style restaurant near the pier's end and bought a scone and a cup of coffee.
"Is that to eat in or take away?" the server asked.
"To go," he answered.
Walking back out, he went to the edge of the pier to look out over the water. There sat Katya with an empty coffee cup next to her.
Cyrus plopped down beside her without saying a word.
