Damien was standing on the balcony, his dark hair blowing in the wind, and he was looking at the scene below. He was almost glowing in the moonlight, and my breath caught in my throat he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen.
"Damien, are you ok?" I asked him. For some reason, I felt he was depressed.
"I should be asking you that question. Are you sure you feel OK. My blood is supposed to be toxic."
"Well, I guess it's not to me, and not to mention I feel way better than I did. I think we should be able to leave tomorrow night at this rate." I said to him, leaning against the balcony beside him.
"It's almost dawn. Are you sure it's safe for you to be out here."
"Yeah, it's safe. Like I said, it just makes me weak." I said to him, and at that moment, the sun started to rise just peeking up over the horizon.
I felt my power leave as soon as I saw the sun. My hair turned to plain black, and I knew my eyes changed from violet to dark brown, and my skin went from sliver to normal pale. I was human, and I felt weak. Damien was looking at me, and we locked eyes.
"Damn Sapphire, you're beautiful! The Goddess did something right when she made you."
"Damien, you have a way with words." I told him while laughing.
"Seriously, you're gorgeous."
" Seems you like my human form better than my vampire form."
"No, that's not it at all. I think you're amazing in both forms, and I just like what I see." he said, looking me up and down.
Was it just me, or was he aroused?
"Sapph, you will never know what you do to me."
"I hope it's good things." I said, smirking at him.
"Ha, you could say that." He said, looking at me sideways and smiling.
Damn, this man was gonna make me act a fool. He didn't even have to touch me, and I had butterflies in my tummy. He turned to look at me, we were almost touching lips, and he got so close, but then I saw something out the corner of my eye. I turned to see better, but I couldn't make out what it was. What the fuc*k was that?
"SAPPHIRE, WATCH OUT!" Damien screamed at me.
I hit the ground, and whatever it was flew above my head and crashed into the opposite wall with a bang. I stood up and saw that it was a Moon fairy. Fairies don't come out during the day, so why did this one?
"What the fuc*k is that thing?"Damien asked me
"It's a Moon fairy. They don't come out during the day, but this one did for some reason." I said, answering his question.
"I've never seen this creature before, and there interesting looking." He said, looking curiously at the fairy
"Moon Fairy, what is your business here?" I said to her.
"Hi, I'm Alicia and was sent by King Dovah to request your presence, Princess Sapphire." she said to me formally, bowing at me.
"Ugh, when does he want to meet?"
"He just requested you to be home when he returns." she said, bowing again.
"Damn it, he has a mission for me."
Damien looked like he had seen a ghost.
"What’s wrong? You look like you might puke." I asked him, getting closer to him trying to check on him.
"Your father is the dragon God... He created all dragons... Why.... me....mate."
He was talking strangely like he didn't realize I was a princess. I did tell him, right?
"I will see you at the castle princess, may darkness look after you." she said to me and took off.
Damien was still in shook and still rambling. He kept saying mate, and I was confused.
"Well, it looks like you get to meet dear ole dad. Are you excited?"
He just looked at me and turned completely white.
"WHAT?" he exclaimed
"Damien, are you ok it's ok. You can stay here." I said, and that seemed to snap him out of it. Guess he didn't want to leave me.
"No, I'll go with you."
"You know it's gonna be OK. You're with me." I said to him.
"That's not what I'm worried about, Sapph."
"I guess you have no faith in me." I said, walking back into our room.
"That's not it at all he is the creator of my kind, so it's kinda strange that I'm going with his daughter to meet him, let alone my......" he trailed off, not finishing what he was saying. I was starting to get sleepy and didn't bother to argue with him, plus I was getting a headache. I don't think I was fully recovered from Vincent's attack.
"Hey, you ok do you need more of my blood. You look like you might pass out. Sapph....can you hear me SAPPHIRE!"
