Abigail simply glanced at Edward's desk. The young man was no longer there. He had left with Roen because of a sudden meeting called by his father at the main office. She had been Edward's secretary for several days, yet the young man had not given her any tasks. It was Roen, his personal assistant, who took care of his schedule and other directives. All day long, Abigail did nothing but sit. And because Edward hadn't given her any work, she often spent her time designing jewelry. But she knew her designs wouldn't be noticed because there were many entries from their branch. The office was quiet, with only the soft hum of computers and the occasional rustle of papers breaking the silence. Abigail glanced at the clock; it was only mid-morning.
